    Portside hard to steer underload

I will try. I was turning it clockwise from some other information I found. From the back I will turn CCW and see how much that helps.

    Portside hard to steer underload

I have an mercury 150 outboard that is harder to steer to the port side when underload. Out of the water or not underload you can one finger to both sides. Would this be related to the zinc tab installed over the prop?

    Back up camera on trailer

This is the back up nightmare I have to deal with after bringing my boat back to my parking spot. The first time I pulled in and could not clear the truck for the turn. There are cars behind the camera along a fence. I finally backed in all the way in from the street and made this turn. This is...

    Adding a 12v DC-AC Inverter

I use a 1500W inverter on my boat. I keep it in the cabin screwed to the wall of the console. It is wired straight to the house battery with a fuse. I use it to power my cabin strip lights mainly and have an open connection for other needs (hot plate etc). Most sensitive electronics (TV, etc)...

    Pickup tube

Always have a manual when working on your boat engine unless you know what you are doing. Like @jerryjerry05 said you need a diagram so you can see the parts list.

    Boat refueling

I agree with you there. I thought about that when I was evaluating it. When I wired it, I used a 20ft duplex 16ga wire and when in use I am on the boat and trailer while the battery is on the ground (not engine/house battery). I only used it to run my old fuel out into fuel water separator and...

Safe to tow with bow not resting on front roller?

I can confirm this. Did the exact same thing last weekend and was slightly bouncing back on the way home (bunk trailer). I simply took the slack out of my safety chain to give myself a piece of mine riding home. I did back down to far in the water but it allows me to get the boat on the trailer...

    Boat refueling

I purchase this device from Amazon to cycle gas in/out my tank after setting over the winter to separate the water. Its a simple fuel pump kit that is powered by a 12v battery. I added a fuel water separator to the line to remove the water and I let it cycle for about about hour depending on how...

    Hydraulic Steering

I am looking to change my steering from cable to hydraulic. Never used hydraulic steering before wanted to know should I purchase the unit to match my horse power rating up to 150 or purchase a unit that can handle a larger unit 150-300?

    1975 115 2-stroke inline 6 WOT problems

I had a 115 to me this sounds like a fuel delivery issue. Switching back to that 3/8 fuel line may fix this but not sure. With the soft primer bulb it sounds like the fuel pump also but you replaced that, double check.

    NMEA 2K Tilt/Trim

@sam am I I am using a Simrad IS35 MFD it reads trim data as its a default setting on one of the custom pages that are preloaded. Trim is to the left of the RPM meter in the image below. @dingbat I trim until the top of the engine cover is level and go. That's called eyeballing it, nothing...

    NMEA 2K Tilt/Trim

I am trying to find a device that will place my tilt/trim position on my NMEA network. I was wondering has anyone found such a device that will plug into NMEA/Mercury to read tilt/trim angle? I have been looking at Yacht Devices Rudder adapter for their trim tabs this device seems to covert ohm...

Starts and runs at idle great on muffs or in a bucket - won't start at all in the lake or ocean.

He probably has better leverage standing and pulling at home on flat ground than he does setting/standing in the boat and pulling rocking side to side.

Can a 2020 CRV AWD tow a Crestliner 1650 SE WT

I would recommend adding a surge brake kit to the trailer if you have doubts about stopping the load. Here is an example.

water pump and shift shaft position

If you had the engine in N to get the lower unit back in remove the flywheel cover and slightly rotate the flywheel to get the spline to line up. It should not be off by much unless you rotated the shaft repairing the water pump.

    2002 150L XR6 smoking a lot

When was the last time you rebuild the carburetors? Do you have recent compression results? I would start with the simple things like fuel water separator/filters and run the engine from a fresh gas from a can. 2 strokes smoke that what they do. When I had a carb Merc my first 2 years I had...
