Some of these next pictures were of me while I was laminating today. I am currently sore as I was working in my boat for 5 hours nonstop. These pictures are with 2 coats of 17oz total. I am shooting for 4 layers of 17oz before I call the stringers done. I would like to thank my girlfriend for taking the pictures because if it weren't for her I wouldn't have these pictures and wouldn't be able to post them tonight. As i was completely drained.Enjoy.

I will post as I complete certain mini projects having to do with my boat and post when I deem I have material to share with you. I hope this serves as a motivation for others as others peoples projects have done to me.

Hi- check your messages- I'm the guy with the other Contessa- going to get back to working on mine this year - had a couple of setbacks, and haven't done much other than gut the interior and reinforce the hull. I like the boat though!
We have had the same problems....thought it was just me!

Ok here we go
I started working on my kicker motor a couple weeks ago it's a 1957 Johnson Seahorse 18hp. I just quite haven't got it to run. I changed the points, condenser coils spark plug wires. And It wont run. So i set it aside for now.

I have ground out both hull sides and transom. It was a pain and had to pressure wash my patio pool screen everything. I started on the bottom but decided against it had and still has a lot of crazing. I started applying epoxy resin on certain spots of the side of the hull.

This is the floor pieces be test fitted there rather thin 3/8 but will epoxy coated on both sides and will get 2 coats of 17oz on top that will bond them to the deck.

Here are some ideas I have rattling in my brain for the back deck. I plan to incorporate a seat on either side and shrink the splashwell. I don't know how long it will take but here are some pictures. These are from another boat and believe it's called a euro transom. Now I know this boat is a classic but I want to make it practical and use as much space as possible since it's only 17 feet. I plan on adding sponsons later on and plan on keeping this boat for a long time. Screenshot_20180603-153838_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20180603-154329_Chrome.jpg

Now for my boat. I finished wiping the amine blush and started to sand in preparation for the Total Boat white bilge paint, which I used 3 coats. I waited a day in between coats. You probably wont noticed the difference in coat but trust me it got whiter.

I scuffed the underside of the 3/8 wood I will be using for the floor and laminated a layer of 17oz. The one layer seemed to have added a lot of strength. I will be putting 2 layers on the topside. You can barely see the 17oz.
