Next section sanded and buffed...I see a noticeable difference in this and the front part...got to remember how I did that...might have been the soft scrup...
I recall a lemony scent when i did that area...

Maybe I can pick up some good compound this weekend and get better results...stay tuned..

I was starting to think the community was shunning me....guess you all don't finding sanding as exciting as I do :)

Its needs some pi-zaz like the flaming mixer or something: a flaming sander, nope too quick:D If you do; do it on a sample piece please.

Been following along, just keep it up then it'll be splash time.

Nope, this is absolutely my favorite sanding gelcoat thread

Actually, I find that all this recent work in the field has seriously cut into my iboats thread review time....

The 12-15hr 6-7days a week isn't helping the boat fund much as I'd hoped either.....

V5 rob sander? Is that the funky dewalt pistol grip you posted a pix of earlier?

Have a great weekend, enjoy the new sander.

Shunned ? Quite the opposite .
I,m at work watching my finishers sand a carp load of d/w and the first thing Ithought of was how my bud Trooper was coming with his sanding ! We may not be there physically but we're there for ya in spirit !

Finding that there is an unwanted side effect to sanding the boat so smooth....

I can't keep from sliding off while sanding!

Re: '78 Ebko Lebaron - Therapy

well gus my options in the mountains of northeast PA are rather limited...AZ had some 3M rubbing compund and I grabbed up some Meguires Fine...changing the pads when I change compunds...

If I can keep out of this bottle of rum the Admiral picked up I hope to get alot done....but man it is like a magnet, and I am steel...been awhile I think it is ok..

Sam that helps, seriouisly, the more I drink the less I stay on the hull...no where did i put that tape?

Ok, tell the truth, you walked across the street and took pictures of the hull of your neighbors new shiny hull. That Can't be the same thing you been workin on!!!! I think we ALL would like a picture of those POPEYE fore arms you must have by now after all this sanding.
