Few lessons to be gleaned from this so far...
1. Should use marker between each grit on the sanding..
2. When the sander jumps momentarily to a finished spot...go over it with the remaining grits to fix it.

I can live with it. It has a few spots I will need to touch up and a few places I cut throug, especially on the corners of the chines/starkes...what ever they are called.

Man, I know that in person you are going to be your own worst critic and the tiniest little thing is gonna stick out like a sore thumb, but brother...I gotta tell you...
That hull looks absolutely fantastic!
Now that you are getting it all figured out, finish all of it, First...then go back and do your touch ups...
That way you will know exactly what and how to get them done...you will have acquired Master Jedi of Gel Coat by that time...;)
Positively beautiful!

Have you even thought about what's next? Sometimes I find myself finishing a big part of a project with the feeling that the next phase would never come.....

Looks nice from here...

Trooper,
You are an inspiration! This is one of the threads I used to research my build and you are very good at detailing the experience. I have an open bow also so I am anxious to see how yours turns out.

Good luck with the sanding, it will be worth it in the long run. You will have a boat that will last for many more years and it will be a step above the others on the water, you made it!

That is what keeps me going, that, and some Newcastle. Deconstruction is not near as fun as I thought....

Enjoy the break in the action around the garag-mahal. That's what the sitting & thinking chair is for.

Have a good week!

If you study & test like ya work on the Ebko, it'll be a breeze....

Good luck all the same...
