Re: Delema

Thanks LadyFish, jgregory, tylerin, LubeDude and oddjob, for your responses.

This has been a very revealing situation for me, and I thank you guys for your support.

Now I have to figure out what I'm going to say to my other kids.

Not to sure how they are going to react, but I will find out on Thurs., as they will be spending Thanksgiving with me.

Guess I'm going to have to sit them down and have a talk.

Hopefully, I'll be able to let them talk to their "older brothers" over the holiday.

Re: Delema

Kenny I think they will understand, I would just explain everything the way you explained it to us. You might also want to bring the ex in on this (if you still have a half way decent relationship). It might be better that she heard it from you than the kids(first). I have always taken the notion that whats in the past is the past, you can't change it but you can use it to help make the future better. And by the looks of it your future is looking better.   :) :) :)

See, we do have the potential for a "Made for TV Movie" or maybe a mini-series! Keep a journal of all of this Kenny, the thoughts, the funny stuff, etc. WE can make millions I tell ya, millions!

In all seriousness, I am so happy for you Kenny! Now, for the other kids in your life ... just be honest with them. Make sure you don't gush over the new two that they will feel like they are getting thrown out or replaced. Be honest, let them know you are excited about these missing chapters in your life ... oh, you can take it from there. You know what to do!

Re: Delema

Hey aspeck,

I think that "Oprah" has sufficiantly covered this topic, so I doubt that there would be millions to make here.

Good suggestion though!

As far as the other kids go, I will explain everything to them on Thanksgiving Day, as I will have them for the weekend, and will be spending Thanksgiving at my parents house in New Hampshire.

To be honest, I think the hardest part will be telling my parents about all this!

They are extremly old-fashioned and don't except this kind of thing all too well.

They are just going to have to accept it, and if they don't, I just don't care!

Don't talk to my parents too often, so it won't be a major problem, just not going to be an easy subject, no matter what.

Presently, I have been shopping around for airline tickets for my "new" sons, so as they can spend Christmas here in NY.

Can't believe the prices of tickets during the holiday season!!

I spent $70 each way this past weekend on tickets to Virginia, and around Dec. 25th, they want $120 each way!

Go figure!

Carpy,

Hows it going?

Haven't heard from you in a while.

Everybody was starting to think that you and Ralph Spencer were having a thing! :D

Anyway...

Yeah, the holidays are going to exciting this year.

And for the first time in a long time, I'm actually looking forward to them.

This whole thing still has not had a chance to completely sink in, but I'm a lot more confortable about everything now, then I was a week ago.

Anyway, good to see you on this forum again.

Re: Delema

Well Kenny, ive been doin a little deerhuntin, which has kept me away from here for a while. Unlike many of you guys, the only time I really post on this forum, is from my work computer. I'm usually so busy at home, (with my youngins), that I don't have much time to post from there.

And, to be serious, I don't think i'm the most "liked" person on this site, so I don't post as much as I used to. I think I ruffled too many feathers.................oh well. :p

I believe that Ralph is one of them there Mods now. We won't be able to enjoy his posts anymore. :D ..........see now, thats why i'm not liked. :( ....... :D

Everything is going great with me, thanks for asking, and I appreciate you noticing that I havent been around as much. ;)

Glad everything turned out better than expected for ya Kenny. :)

Re: Delema

Hey Carpy,

I think you have it all wrong.

You are very much liked at this site.

Just because we all don't always agree with what you say, hell, there are alot of members here who don't like what I have to say, but its an opinion, and you are entitled to your opinion.

Don't take responses so personally, I'm sure there not trying to attack you personnally, their just disagreeing with your opinion.

And that is their right too.

And I too, usually only make posts here while I'm at work, so its not a problem either, as there are many others who do the same!

Your opinion is valued here, at least by me, and maybe a few others, even though I may not necessarly agree with it, it still has value.

Keep posting here, I'm sure there are many others who miss your posts here also, hell, I know I miss your off-the-wall jokes, they really crack me up!

So, what makes you think that Ralph is the new moderator?

Do you have some inside info to that?

Did you bag that buck or what?

Let me know.

Re: Delema

No No Kenny, I think I have confused you. Trust me on this one, I have ruffled the feathers of the wrong people on this site, thats about all I can say. I do not take this stuff personal, heck, its a boating site, not exactly the place for someone to go to talk about world problems and such, not this this is a bad place to do that either. :D

I sometimes just tell it like it is, and that doesn't always go over so well..........and, I am not the most literate person in the world, and sometimes the words that I type don't exactly express my feelings, but, I can assure you, I take nothing on this site personal, ever.

I'm a big boy, trust me, I understand that people will disagree with me on things, that doesn't bother me at all, thats what is supposed to happen in a debate.

I have participated in many forums where people do nothing but call each other names, that is why I like this site, that doesn't happen here. I have "met" some people,(like yourself), here that I really enjoy talking to. I have never officially met anyone on this site, yet consider many of them my friends, obviously, you included.

So, to make a long story short, I might just lay a little low for a while, and see what happens.

Thanks for the concern though, I never forget that kind of stuff.

BTW, I got a 170-lb 9-pointer Friday morning. I could see the house from where I shot him.

Life is good. :D

Carpy,

I really think that you are taking this too personally.

Heck, you even missed the one post where I agreed with plywoody, and if that can happen, then I'm sure that you are definitly welcome here at this forum.

Anyway, don't forget your friends here at iboats.

BTW, congrats on the hunt.

At least we all know that you'll be eating good, for a while anyway.
