Re: Fiberglas stringers? Kevlar?
I took my info from this article
http://www.topspeed.com/boats/campion/-campion-allante-825i-mc-ar33253.html
I?m assuming, (maybe wrongly), that the Campion is an 07 model and the rest of the lineup is of the same construction. The Kevlar could be primarily a selling point of little real value, I don?t know, but there is no doubt some Kevlar cloth in the boat in the article.
As for wood boat construction, I see four paths
Quality construction, Owner cares for his equipment ? Boat will last indefinitely
Quality construction, Owner neglects his equipment ? Boat will go bad at some point
Poor Construction, Owner cares for his equipment ? Boat will go bad at some point
Poor construction, Owner neglects his equipment ? Boat will go bad quickly
So it?s really no wonder why I?ve read twenty five threads in the past few months regarding rotting structure. Bottom line is buy quality, care for your equipment, you?ll have many many good years from your boat. That?s all most of us want?Except for gas prices to go down so we can use our boats.
