When is Mr. Bush going to wake up and stop our boys dying in that hell hole of a country? 13 more died today. For what? WW2 the russians had that radio broadcast to the nazi soldier with the clock ticking that said every 1 minutes a german soldier dies. It sound like the samething. I'm sick of our boys dying for no reason. Were sending 87 billion there to help them rebuild......BS let them suffer, let them pay with there oil......nuke the dump and let's go home and help our selfs.

Although I stand behind our President, any President, in their decisions, but it is time to bring our men and women home.

Just drop the big bomb on them like we did Japan and let them rebuild, like Japan.

Sorry, but that is how I feel.

Go ahead, I am a big boy, so let me have it.

What a bunch of (name calling deleted. Apologies. JB)

Things get a little tough and you want to quit and run for cover.

There isn't any cover. No place to hide.

It must be finished.

There will be more. . a lot more. . .and it will be worth it.

Amen JB: It's an unfathomable loss, that these young men are dying but if we ignore these people now, they will soon be back at our door step. Maybe LA next time? Who knows, maybe it would be Philly.

It is the sentiment expressed above your post that those folks are counting on. Kill a few of them and they will turn tail and run. Those fat, spoiled Americans have no guts, no principles, they just want to defile the world with their evil, capitalist, Christian ways.

They don't just want to be left alone. They smell success and have the money to pursue it. They will try to fulfill what they consider to be their historical destiny.

We are at a crossroads now. We let this element have it's way now, there will be no stopping them. Let's not act like Neville Chamberlain!

Extremely sad but true, as many as it takes.
I agree with JB and boomyal,
The "cancer" is still present and still trying to fight the cure.
Kill the cancer, or it will come back bigger and stronger and kill us and/or ours!

it's like termites in your house. You can't just spray som Raid and forget about it. Whether or not we agree about the stated reasons that our soldiers are over there, I think we probably all agree that Iraq was problem that would have to be delt with one day, so this is day and America is dealing with the problem. I don't want to sound calus, because I care about the men and women who are dieing, but if you are going to make an omlet, you have to break a few eggs.

Right on JB!
A while back someone eluded to General Patton made it known that occupying and defending liberated territory was a bad policy and created situations like the one were experiencing.
His policy was to move, move, move, attack, attack, attack. Come back later and mop up.
Bush and his team, the war in general and the war against terrorists would be better served to spearhead into Iran and Syria.
It's time to cut the Isreali Airforce loose also.
Our new allies, the former eastern block and new members of NATO are more then willing to try out all thier new hardware.

Yeah right! Bring them home? You do that and you might as well tell all the terrorist that they've done a wonderful job in defeating US! And it was done so quickly and easily too!
Pull out?!! The absolute worst thing we could do.
We need engage a whole lot more and this is Bush's mistake.

We pull out, I'll vote for Howard Dean just to make things worse, so they'll get better in this decade.

Re: How many more?

As a Vet who who participated in the most unpopular war is U.S. history I feel I have a right to make a statement here. When I was 19 years young I was laying in a foxhole scared Sh..l.. as rounds were coming in. At no time did I say to myself what the heck was I doing here.

It saddened me when I would have to read news briefs about how the protesters were calling us Baby killers and mercenaries while we were losing our lives so other folks could have the same freedom we relish here. Nor did you see the smiles on the villagers face when we took over a village from the Cong.

It is the same with Irag we hear only the bad but do not get to see the smiles of the majority who want us there so they to can experience the freedoms we have.. Is this wrong? We have what we have today by fighting for the same right that they deserve even though at a cost of lives on our part and other nations.

When Vets come back from Iraq do you hear from them that we don't belong there. What you do hear is how proud and satisfied they feel when they see smiles on the majority of the populous.

Its easy to sit back and be an arm chair adviser, safe in our homes knowing we are safe. Remember that our boys overseas see what we feel..
All vets who are here know what I am trying to say. I do not believe in war but to preserve we sometimes have to do things we don't want to do..

Re: How many more?

Hello
having been there and done that and retired with a service connected disability I can comment. we need to get bush the hell out. he is almost as bad as clinton. he has turned a blind eye and lied to us and everyone else. while I agree we need to finnish the war on both afghanistan and iraq we should also kick some saudi *** . this is where all the terrorists come from as well as the financing. hell we educated all of their military leaders and they do nothing but stab us in the back. the Iraqi threat was done away with in the 90's ole saddammy was just sabre rattling. that is why Bush was hopeing the great pumpkin would arise friday and reveal the WMD's. the american public is being snow jobbed and most of us ex service men and women know it. we had a saying when it came to the upper officers and brass. work it may shine it must F*** the gear and bust the dust. its the same now. we either need to allow the frontline squad leaders and company commanders the authority to attack and eliminate resistance as needed or get the hell out. My theory on warfare now is all the politicians to the front line first followed by all the clergymen. if its still worth fighting for after they are gone I will uncrate my rifle and give it h***.
T.A.B. FC2 USN ret
lets nuke their A** and get our gas

Re: How many more?

There is an end to everything Scamper..there could be no winning in Nam because the people didn't really want it. That was then and 30 years later we are in a similiar position in Iraq.
But this time the resolve is there unlike before.

9/11 should have been a wake up call..If we dont stop it there it will infest into our freedom..I hear nuke em all all the time..why kill everyone when you are looking for that 10%..its not the other 90%s fault....Thank you Topmason and I salute you back..

OK let's end it. send every thing we have over there and kill all of them. But lets make the iraq people that want us there fight also. every one say's that they have smiles on there faces but they should have a gun in there hand and be helping to get rid of the bad guys as well.

Re: How many more?

Here's my opinion. I think they should pull our soldiers out when:
1. People can be cautious and pay attention to thier driving to achieve -0- fatalities. This could be accomplished since we have the control over our vehicle.

2. Domestic abuse, assult, rape, and murder ceases to happen. After all it is an Amercian that commits these crimes. So stop the crime and no body gets hurt.

My point is that we don't care about people getting killed in our own country. We only care about a few soldiers. These brave soldiers are the ones giving their lives for human beings that should be free as us.

Even if we end the crap with Iraq, thousands will needlessly die in our own land every year. Sad thing is that nothing much will be done about.

As far as Bush goes? He is the President with my respect and honor. No matter who the man holding the position, he is my President. For 4 years he was also my Commander and Chief. All have their faults as well as their good side.

My reason the soldiers are there. To preserve our freedom as well as letting others enjoy what we take for granted....SS
