So got a little bit done tonight.. got all the screws i used for the transom out and started to the match and patch for the gel coat.. with a little help from a former day care provider we got the colors mixed to a very close color.. obviously i can't make it the same without using all the color up but for the small holes that i have to cover it will work.. thats really all thats done lol

Well murphy found me at the shop today.. it was snowing all day so i decided to go over and get the rest of the glass work done.. well i was so anxious to get it done i glassed in all the supports that hold up the middle of the floor than started telling my dad what i had done and realized that i didn't put the gas tank in under the supports lol so im going to try and just take the main one out at the edges and slide it in than reglass the support in. so we will see this weekend maybe. no new pictures today

Thanks produceguy its a labor of love.. ya it sucked to forget the tank but it gave me a chance to get everything else in line because i forgot to drill the hole for the rear gas line and the fuel gauge wiring.. so now its all set to be glassed over..

Yesterday i patched all the holes in the transom and got all the old screws out of the rubrail so we can replace it.. i got the fill and vent installed on the cap.. i got stuck on how to mount by bilge pump but once i heard that i can just put the 5200 in the freezer when im done im going to do it that way.. ill check and see if i have any pics.

Haven't heard of that. Hope you do have pics, I'd like to see that.
My pump was just screwed into a piece of wood that is glassed into the bilge area.

Re: The "New Boat"

So i went over sunday and tried the freezing 5200 it seemed to work.. well see how well it seals. just takes longer to dry obviously.. but i glued down the pump and the auto float. put the two bilge thruhulls in.. hooked up some more electrical that runs to the bow. . still figuring the best way to mount the two speakers in the bow that will work right(clearence issues)... i picked up the stainless screws for the rub rail yesterday so maybe ill do that today.... ill try and get some pics for you guys

Ok well back at it.. i have my spring break and of course the weather sucks so i willl get some work done.. i got the rub rail back on but im going to have to redo it.. i think i have to heat it up so it stretches cuz im off by a foot.. the last piece of the floor is drying from its resin soak today and will go in tomor.. i buffed almost all the gelcoat which looks alot better.. almost done cutting all the holes for everything.. than sand down the transom and thats done.. i had to move the fuel filter and bus bar down because i put them where the hooks go.. here are just two pics

So i know i havn't been on in a while but its spring so work is picking up and ive been renovating an apartment so i can only work on it at nights really. I painted the top white again so i let each coat dry for a day.. i got the windshield on and the gauges in lights horn some random stuff. steering will be next just needed to get the install guide.. i need to adjust the radio and cover but thats ok.

I painted 4 of my speakers so that you wont really see them when their in the cushions. also put two new cupholders in the bow area. its all coming together slowly lol.. picked up this baby today.. saw it at cabelas it was in a bag with the cable antenna and mount for $40 what a deal!!

Well heres the one pic i have for now. the nice antenna.. i may go over tomor so ill get some pics.

Re: The "New Boat"

Well i know you guys like pictures so i made sure to take some today.. i did some stuff but got lazy and left.. and drove about a mile down the road with two speakers sitting on the toolbox.

Splashwell is 95% done. Two speakers in the back.. black tube will hold all the wires for the engine.. big one next to it is steering and throttle control. one on the left is for fuel.

2 big holes on the sides are for speakers and the two little holes by on the bottom are new cup holders.

Did you fiberglass over the new wood? I just put a new floor in my 89 bayliner and cant decide if i need to fiberglass first before I put the carpet down.

Yes you need to and the deck needs to be tabbed to the hull.
