The roots of anti-homosexual prejudice are more cultural than religious. As the Venerable Tejadhammo pointed out, Buddha said nothing about homosexuality - and yet the Dalai Lama, speaking from his Tibetan background, declared it wrong. Christians can understand this. Like the Buddha, Jesus said nothing about homosexuality, yet for centuries Christians have been the victims of cultural anti-homosexual prejudices that have nothing to do with Jesus’ message. <br /><br />More hetrosexuals are dying in Africa of AIDS than homosexuals. AIDS is not just a problem of homosexuals it is everyone's problem. It does spread faster in the homosexual community and with IV drug users, but in this country it also is spreading through the general population. It will be your children's problem unless we do something to find a cure.
