As the Venerable Tejadhammo pointed out, Buddha said nothing about homosexuality - and yet the Dalai Lama, speaking from his Tibetan background, declared it wrong. Christians can understand this. Like the Buddha, Jesus said nothing about homosexuality, yet for centuries Christians have been the victims of cultural anti-homosexual prejudices that have nothing to do with Jesus’ message. <br /><br />More hetrosexuals are dying in Africa of AIDS than homosexuals. AIDS is not just a problem of homosexuals it is everyone's problem. It does spread faster in the homosexual community and with IV drug users, but in this country it also is spreading through the general population. It will be your children's problem unless we do something to find a cure.

Why is there so much concern about what someone else does in their own bedroom? What possible affect does it have on you?<br />And why do they have to deny their lifestyle because it offends you?<br />And why are all of these "good" Christians feel compelled to decide for someone else what is moral or not, or what is a "mental disorder" or not.<br /><br />How exactly does someone else being gay threaten you, exactly? I don't understand.

Lady, I'm tolerant I have mentioned my cousin and sister-in-law. While it bothers me to have to be around them I also "pretend" that nothing is wrong. More for the sake of my family and the Admiral. <br /><br />When I cought my sister-in-law makingout on the Couch with her "significant other". I wanted to trow up. What they do in their house is fine but I do not need to be exposed to it. I do not condone PDA's (Public Displays of Affection) no matter who the couple is. Take it to the bedroom please.<br /><br />I also do not need to or want to explain to the Commodore what is going on. I should be able to pick the time and place of that discussion at my choosing. I'm not a prude but nobody's lfe need to be exposed for public view (hetrosexual or homosexual). <br /><br />We do not need to Bomb them or kill them by definition they will die out anyway. But please do not expose me or my children to your perverted lifestyle. And let children make up theIr own minds as to their sexuality. These studies of kids that proclaim they are gay are done in responce to kids who think they don't fit in and figure since they don't belong to any of the "normal" groups of society they must be gay. Homosexual teaching does not belong in any part of a childs education and should not even be offered as an explaination for there behavior. Show me a kid that has their mind made up and I show you one that changed their mind a day ago.

Im sorry to disagree with you Laryfish but this topic is not about weather we should accept or hate gay people. I see your point Ladyfish..but keep in mind I/we are not bringing the issue up for debate. Its the libs,media and homo movement. The media gives them a platform to launch their assault on human social mores.<br /><br />This forum is every man and womans platform to debate on equal terms....( its now 4:28 I better cut it short before everyone leaves)...I think the hate is the product of our being force fed leud behavor on TV, schools,etc. Being tolerant as in the 80s and 90s has not worked to our advantage. Then I could be tolerant, not now that I see the agenda is nowhere near complete.<br /><br />The harsh words are from folks who are tired of the challenge to the majority that we are still not tolerant enough. Maybe some folks feel that it easier or feels better to shout down than to explain the bible and so on. Its just a way of standing firm.
