How is retirement treating you?
Extension cords are all accounted for, in fact we have had snow sticking for only the last two weeks, and I have not even put the blower on yet.
(even cut the grass/leaves just before it snowed two weeks back)

No real base for sledding till you get over 4500 foot mark, and yup the roads are a sheet of ice.

Well...so far we are snowless. However, I would trade a couple of inches of snow for 1 straight week of clear blue sky and sunshine!!
That said, we took a walk around the yard today (5-8?C or about 45?-50?f) and were checking out the status of the gardens still in hibernation....but they will be starting to pop in a few weeks hopefully.
Again, we are feeling pretty lucky given the weather hitting the east this year.

Enjoy it. Still not enough to sled on around here. That 12" would do it! Just pulled the auger and gear out of the shed. Mid 30's all week. Time to hit the ice I guess.....

I wish we could get some moisture around these parts.... if we dont start getting something, local lake will not be usable for boats come spring. Glad all the metal detector clubs are having a blast... but i want my lake back!

Snowing to"Beat the Band" in Talladega Alabama right now (rare).

Not sticking on the roads yet (was 70*F last weekend) and it'll all melt when the temps hit 53*F tomorrow. Going down to 28*F tonight so there may be some bridge freezing and probably some car wrecks tomorrow morning before stuff thaws out.

I know for a fact without even going that there isn't a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, or a pound of bologna in any of the stores right now... people freak out when they see snow around here.

I love those snow pics guys!... all of 'em. I've always considered winter a great season and I miss my winters in Ontario and the Ottawa valley.
That said...we haven't had any snow at all here this year in ol' Victoria- B.C...not an iotta...just a few days of frost last week. Today was really beautiful...despite the lack of snow and thank God it wasn't raining!. It was sunny and I took the ferry from Victoria over to Vancouver on a business/day trip....just frikkin' beautiful...a really nice day with the sun out and temps probably around 5?C. (45-50?F).
Damn, I should have taken a pic and posted it....next time.:facepalm:

RBH, I'm plowing today! Well sorta. Just doing the ones who paid for season and paved drives. Trying to keep them happy since they're not getting their monies worth so far. Need to do whatever it takes to keep them on for next year!

Another strange winter.....I think up until last week we had more snow in parts down here than you guys did up there. Had a little over 20" on the ground at one point......now back to grass and snowbanks. A quick dusting this morning, but that didn't last.

Barely, but it was real good snowball making snow... the wet heavy stuff.

They got a little more than us about 50 mi. north of me... and this is why they close the roads around here when it snows:

These dang rednecks around here think they can drive just as fast as they do on a dry road when it snows... I stay home.
