    my cold start procedure is ; put gear shift in neutral push button in center of shift lever hold button in this allows you to advance throttle without it going in gear after warmup return shifter to neutral button will release push shifter forward it will go in gear hope this helps

    the flat lever on the controller is for warming the motor in neutral once you shift the controller in forward you continue to push the controller forward to throdle the motor up
