Ah, so nothing major. Makes sense. I went way overboard on my wire runs..... SHSU

    21' Holiday Rebuild

That was the same concern I had with the original design as well. Hence the custom SW. Have no concern with the SW now. @benfish909 Where did you source your hydro turf? Also, guessing with how hard it has been to remove no issues with fuel or oil eating away at it? SHSU

Any idea how many wires you plan on running through your conduit? SHSU

    1966 Starcraft Holiday Interior Work

Nice job and pics!!! I like how well it seems to have worked for you and kept that separation that has always been a concern. Also good idea on running the 4 inch corrugated for wires. Didn't even think about it until I saw it in your pics. Question: on the mixing did you do it by hand...

1982 Starcraft Center Console 18' Rebuild

Looking good!!! Ya, didn't see the post on modified vs standard brazier but can see a clear difference in size. Glad you figured a way to work them. Who is helping you buck them? Need to buy then a case or two... lol SHSU

Nope, as @Moserkr indicated just unnecessary coverage. Proper prep and painting would help with protecting the aluminum. Self etching primer will be needed prior to applying any paint. You will be able to find many threads on Iboats where people have painted the hulls Every restoration comes...

Looks like you have a good plan in place, will be interesting to see how the foam flows out. SHSU

Gluvit is only needed on the tails and seems of the aluminum. You can use a syringe to apply an even bead along the seems. SHSU

If you add extra thickness it will bump the rivets holes back along the bottom of the hull. As long as your friend welds the old holes shut you can drill new ones. SHSU

    1974 starcraft islander overhaul

So I had some of that in mine, and attributed it to stretching from the bad transom and motor bouncing. Since yours is an I/O not the same, but not sure if any starcraft was perfectly flat even from factory. SHSU

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

My tabs for the transom side of the knee brace were broken off. So my welder put new tabs on for me and filled in the other holes at the bottom of the hull so I could redrill. If you have that option, I would do that. Also as @benfish909 you can bolt/rivet some aluminum stock as well. There...

If you can't get the exact measurements from anyone, might try the following. Figure out the aluminum transom size and then cut off 1/2 - 3/4" at each side. Might be able to do a cardboard cutout as well. SHSU

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

lol, not a sharp eye. Just experience of having done it my self. As for the panel idea, you don't need mahogany wood, but you can get pine and stain/dye it to look like mahogany. Sheet of plywood paneling should do the trick. Also suggest moving away from gloss, takes a lot of effort to...

That is some nice floor bracing you have there! Gives you plenty of room to secure the flooring. Starting to see what you meant on your idea to keep the pour in foam off the aluminum. How you going to secure the sheet together? Tape/glue? SHSU

1982 Starcraft Center Console 18' Rebuild

I remember fighting rivets too. I used a punch on the rivet gun and a single punch from it sent them flying, but yes there were several that needed a bigger size. Between the new rivets/5200/Gluvit I figure I have a couple years before I have to worry about loose rivets. If you used enough...

Man that is a pretty sight!!!! So clean and shiny!!!! Looks like a really good job of cleaning off the glue. One comment, where the console is I noticed you didn't clean that area even though it will be exposed. Do you have plans for it? SHSU

Man look at all that room!!!! I wish I had the room for such a restoration... You going to add some PVC runs for wiring and such while you have the floor open? SHSU

1985 StarCraft Islander 221v fixer upper.

Actually that is pretty smart. I wish I did see that in mine and maybe I would have done it. Aluminum and carpet/vinyl glue do not seem to get along. It fails with time, and falls down. At least by riveting it in it wouldn't fall. SHSU
