    Spider cracks

I think you need to do more exploratory work on seeing where all the rot is. On a boat that old, I’m sure you’ll find plenty.

First time winterizing 4.3 mercruiser, alpha one.

The poking happens on the block and manifold plugs, not the elbows. I follow the method Scott posted verbatim. Pretty much taken right out of the Mercruiser manual.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Which ones are from the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which are from the Canon 80D?

    Ideas for refinishing boat bottom

I second the keel guard. They work great. That boat looks like she’s had a rough life……

1981 Custom Craft 16ft deck restoration

I hope you watch the process like a hawk. I doubt I could do the work myself for that cost let alone make a profit. Good luck, I hope you make out well this.

    Hardtop repair

CSM would work, 1708 would build more thickness, but would be easier IMO to fare smooth. If using Poly. 1700 if using epoxy.

1987 Power Play XLT-185 - floors, stringers, and upholstery

Completely agree. The QJs are rock solid once properly built and maintained. The boat turned out awesome.

    1993 Wellcraft Eclipse196S Rebuild

I used purple degreaser on mine inside and out. A handful of hexnuts tossed in the tank with the tank rolled from side to side will loosen the junk. Rinse well and dry thoroughly. Add a water separating fuel filter to your set up and you’ll be golden.

You’re not going to find many miles of straight road in this part of PA, though depending on which direction you’re coming to the lake, you can avoid the steep climbs and save the brakes.

Still plenty of color left in those trees. I’m planning on heading up this Saturday as the temps should be close to 70. A slow fall cruise.

    1993 Wellcraft Eclipse196S Rebuild

I’d stick with the oem tank. It’s poly, so as long as it never moved in it’s coffin, it should be like new once cleaned up. There should be no real need to replace it.

    Quit My Job . . .

Wow, I couldn’t imagine working for that shitty of a company as you did. Yeah there are unproductive people in every company, some in middle management, some in upper management, and some are individual contributors. I’m grateful I work for a company where the vast majority of the workforce...

Restoring what I believe is a 1970's Chrysler Sport Satellite

Looks to me like a crappy attempt at a repair. The old deck was covered over with new plywood because it was rotted. The hole with the wood in it was an attempt to stiffen the soft spot created by the rotten or cracked plywood. That wood stuffed in the hole probably rests on the hull underneath...

Chaparral 2000 SL Sport floor, and more?? [SPLASHED Sept 2017]

Wrapping up another boating season. Someone turned off the heat in south central PA…..it’s time to start looking at sewing machines for vinyl. Leaning heavily toward the consew that WOG mentioned. It has a lot of features and add ons the others don’t. Also have an oil leak on my starboard...
