    Stop the prop from spinning

If we're talking I/O's...my Volvo - 5.0L EFI - and my current Merc - 4.3L EFI - both had that feature. If we're talking outboards....my Honda 115 EFI had it as did my Force 120 (2 stroke PoP [pile of pucky]).

Rapid trailer jerk at higher speeds

Long shot but..... on my first Tundra my emergency (parking) brake was hanging up. IF I used that I could launch/retrieve with no issues. But about 10-15 min into a trip, it'd start jerking pretty decently to the point where I had to pull off, reset the brake and all was well for the remainder...

My Boat capsized and asking help in figuring where the water came in!

IF it were me.... Replace throttle cable Replace steering cable **They were both underwater for extended period of time so water more than likely got between the cable and the sheath and the rusting process has started. Review all livewell plumbing. From the description, a overflow drain was...

planning first trip to thousand islands

Here's my report - was up last week... River is about normal water level. Carry/Use a good nav chart and have a decent GPS/Fish Finder to know where you are in relation to the Canadian border and all will be fine. #78 covers Abay up through Morristown. Lots of shipping traffic - easily 3-4...

    Anyone Seen these?

I'm just curious...over 3 different threads now, with no actual honest real world reviews other than a couple sham ones, you spend an awful lot of time defending this vaporware. Did you invest in this company or something? Realistically speaking, those that are going to spring for a $5k prop...

    Sinking help!?

Had fresh gas. When you filled with water all bets were off. Probably got water into the fuel supply.

    Swapping out rollers for bunks

Would it be easier just to sell the trailer you have and replace with a bunk version? I ask as I see every one of those adjustment bolts rusted fairly well. Tack on that you're going to need new brackets to convert to bunks and it adds up fairly quickly. I'm all for repairing what you got but...

My Boat capsized and asking help in figuring where the water came in!

Livewell kept overflowing folks. Sounds like the drain was either plugged or overwhelmed with volume. Once you get your boat back and dried out.....does the livewell input have a valve on it where you can adjust the flow? Cause to me it sounds like it was wide open. Mine's adjustable which is...

    2008 Chaparral Signature 310 Trailering

Umm....over 10' beam right? That's overwidth/overwide in my state meaning permits and most likely escort vehicles to get that on the road....let alone a vehicle capable enough of pulling it.

    Trailer Lights

Dad's truck - are you sure the running lights work on the truck? Having btdt with a Tundra, a blown fuse could be causing your issues. I'd also check the 4 pin at the truck to see that it's passing power. As for your truck - sounds like the wiring harness on the truck isn't passing anything...

    Fiberglassics site down or gone?

"Failed to start engine".....looks to be a website/host issue.

Please HELP! Am I being overcharged for Presale Inspection, Service, etc 2016 Cobalt R3?

I'd go to the marina in person and have them explain the bill to confirm what the broker is telling you cost wise. I'd get a breakdown in writing of all charges. I'd also look at pulling the boat out and get it home. Contact an attorney/lawyer to review all contracts and make sure neither the...

Mighta been loose and slipped last time it was used? Just a WAG. Glad you got it resolved in any event.

A few instruments and gauges not working

Probably fed by one of the working fuses. Add me to the "Replace that fuseblock" group. That'd be the first thing I'd do.

    Buying a fishing boat

That last one looks to be very well taken care of. It'd have my vote IF the motor starts/runs as it should. Fond memories of my uncle's 16' starcraft with a 9.9HP Rude hanging off the back...

14' Klamath- A work in progress in need of advice

    1. Probably. 2. Probably not - looks aged and whatever finish may not stick to it all that well. 3. Check with the Starcraft guys - they'll know better but if it were me, putting some 4200 into the hole before cinching the rivet down doesn't sound like a bad idea. 4. Angle braces, keeping the...

Trying to decide between 3 older boats!

I'd go option #4 - rent one when you want/need it and up the budget for something newer. Gives you the opportunity to try out different layouts and decide what works/doesn't, what are must haves, what are nice to haves, and its somebody else's issue if something breaks and needs repair. Just me.

1978 18' StarCraft SS Seat Question

Gonna lump my replies in here - there was another thread on restoration... https://forums.iboats.com/forum/starcraft-boats.131/ Peruse this subforum and you'll probably get a decent answer. May also check out other makes - Sylvan, Crestliner, etc as they made open bow aluminum fish/ski boats...
