    Cayuga Seneca canal

I've looked into depth into it. Any of the big boat launches are good. Sampson or the one in Geneva. There is a lock right onto the canal at the north end of Seneca and the canal is part of the river. Just keep your times within the lock hours. There is also Cross lake up river

If it still exists, Stingray or Great Lakes Skipper are the only 2 that would have it

Need help with my 3.7l mcm 180

For a couple bucks you can buy a cheap rebuild kit for a 460 and then buy the gaskets and marine specific parts you need for that mutt of an engine. but machine work will be horrible.. I deal enough in Honda and Subaru to know that open deck engines suck... I would never bother rebuilding one...

    Amazing marine goop?

I couldn't find it at Home Depot this year, but I know a way out hardware store carries it.. I bought some at the marine dealer where I bought my boat trailer at the same time and they discounted it for me to $27 per tube.. It was there and I knew I needed it so while they sold the trailer for...

    Amazing marine goop?

I've used it, but I would never, ever in a million years substitute it with 5200.. Totally different products.. And fwiw, I wouldn't use it on a boat. I sealed a plastic rain containment barrel and yeah it worked. 3M 5200 is available at some home centers and hardware stores as tub and tile...

    Renault 90 Mercrusier sterndrive

You'll have to find a set of OEM service manuals. Ones printed in the 80's would still have the Renault stuff in them. The manual you need goes back to '64 IIRC.. Very few people even know they existed anymore, and very few parts exist if at all

    Holsclaw trailer

Pretty sure you won't find one with the Holesclaw badge. You can have a good vinyl decal cut if you want. https://www.hannarv.com/P/26948/ChromeHubCapHubCapfor8Inchand12InchWheelswithInternalBumps

    Alumaloy Brazing Rods...

There is a plastic stick that one of the big box sporting goods places sells, which you heat the rivit with a torch and then press the stick into it, and it seals it.. The aluminum welding rods DO work and they are very cool, however I would not weld/ braze a rivit

Need help with my 3.7l mcm 180

A seized 3.7L is a boat anchor, basically not rebuild able or worth it really.. It shares the cylinder head, rods and pistons from a Ford 460, and those parts are easy to get. BUT the camshaft and crankshaft are not standard parts and have not been manufactured since the very early 1990's A...

    1974 Starcraft info?

The American was one of the 'glass boats that SC built in the 70's... TBH they weren't the best at it and aluminum was their main gig but the boats were decent. A soft floor on a glass boat that is 40+ years old means rot.. transom/ deck/ stringers

    Paint Recommendations please

If it were mine, pick the shade of red from rustoleum that you like and spray that. If you have a respirator and many fresh cartridges or are willing to get one, then mix in some acrylic enamel hardener you can get at Napa or even Advance Auto. It's isocynate so you have to be careful with it...

    Trailer Tires

Right and a P rate car tire, the sidewall flex isn't right on a tandem. Some 5th wheel campers actually require LRF or LRG tires.

    Going electric vs marinas

That actually depends. For instance, Diesel electric locomotives operate this way, and have for a very long time

    Going electric vs marinas

Electric boats exist and power is available. The catch is, 30a or better of 220v is really required for most electric charging, which is beyond most shore power capacity, especially when that is generally one outlet

    Trailer Tires

They have different sidewall flexes making them not suitable for a car.. like I said an LT tire can be used. 50 years ago things were different. My opinion is from a professional standpoint with industry standards
