2001 Bayliner 175 bumper mounting location?

Open bow with "oh carp" handles right? Tie to that. Otherwise on the Bayliner and FourWinns in my signature I added standard cleats just ahead of the front window to tie bumpers to. My Chap I plan on adding fender cleats/locks.

    What’s it worth

To be brutally honest...its worth whatever someone will pay for it. That's what it really comes down to. Someone may be eagerly looking for that very model to relive their childhood and be willing to pay top dollar to do so. Another person may have a budget in mind and be aware of what its...

    PVC stringers?

Possibly BUT according to the Dual Console manual and the warranty for new owners, it covers structural components supplied by Inland Plywood. Dunno? Here's where I was looking: https://www.parkerboats.com/catalogs

    PVC stringers?

If you're dead set against using wood, you might want to look into Seacast instead. It'll be pricey BUT it's designed for this application - pour in transom, possibly stringers. There have been a couple builds with the stuff - check out Archbuilder's threads for some very high end work using...

    selling the Carver

Ya never know. The number of people around here that do crafts with an automobile theme that constantly screw up "Camaro" is unfathomable. 9 times out of 10 it's spelled "Camero"...with a picture of the car above it. OR the people that would walk up to me when I was showing my Trans Am and say...

    Getting out of the boat

Train the passenger to help you and use the dock instead of power loading...which may not be legal at your ramp. It doesn't take much. "Here, hold rope". It's not rocket science.

Hull damage gouge/crack 1720 keywest sportsman

You have a 25 year old boat that more than likely needs at least closer inspection. You mention soft hull...sounds like you may possibly conceivably be missing structure. You have water weeping out of the holes you have now. I'm not so sure a simple patch is wise in this instance given all of...

    VOLVO THROTTLE SHIFTER ISSUE

To me, it sounds like your shifter needs to be serviced. Doesn't sound right as my 12 yrs of ownership of the Four Winns in my signature, never had that issue.

Trolling Motor Mounting Bracket for Tahoe 215xi Deck Boat

Umm...that's the bow of his/her deck boat, not the stern. If the manufacturer no longer stocks them you're more than likely looking at fabbing something up on your own.

    Starcraft 2119 white color code

You're more than likely looking at having a paint shop mix something special for you as you're asking to match 10 year old paint with a factory paint code....that's a bit much to ask.

Sun Tracker 22' DLX pontoon Fishing Replacing Tubes where to Buy ?

Any junk yards in the area that have boats trashed from the deck up and the toons still in good shape? Or search local craigslist for used/project boats? Maybe even evilbay? I ask as coming from the classic car scene, you need what we refer to as a parts car...or organ donor. Basically take the...

Newbie owner looking for boat specific details

Some have mentioned that a wire wheel on a drill/grinder will go much faster. Have a respirator and safety goggles as the stuff will fly.

Value of a 1970 StarCraft Chieftain

I'd look at motor prices before pulling the trigger. I know I had sticker shock years ago when I bought my Honda and had it rigged on the Bayliner - was around $10k out the door with trading in my Force outboard which had maybe 40 hours on it. And that was 21 years ago.

    Restoring a 1990 Larson

I'm not sure I would have tinted the windshield. Kinda hard to remove that at night when its dark out and you need every bit of light to see, but hey...your boat. Otherwise, looks great!

Newbie owner looking for boat specific details

"This isn’t going to be a full overhaul." And how did the core sampling of the stringers and transom go? As some of the seasoned pros will say, and have already said, the floor is the last thing to rot. So more than likely you are looking at a complete gut to make the boat safe to use.

    Boat Radio/Stereo Help

Huh?? Hear me out on this....ignoring your memory circuit for a moment, when the radio is powered on, current (voltage) is flowing on the red & black wires. When the radio is turned off, that current stops. This is provided you don't have an internal short in the radio itself. When off, the...

In search for a 17 ft deck boat

It's 20 years old so it's going to come down to condition....how it was taken care of....maintenance...etc. IF you ask around here, boats have a 10-15yr lifespan...you may be on borrowed time or looking at a project. And that's for any boat that vintage, not specific to Bayliner.

    fiberglassing in new floor

If you're transom is shot, good bet your stringer and motor mounts are too. How confident are you that a good wave isn't going to break things apart? I certainly wouldn't launch knowing that the transom is shot.
