    Considering '13 Bayliner 215

Bayliner quality has progressed substantially since the 80's. I'd pit my '99 up against most any boat of that era. You really need to ignore the older images of Bayliner as they are no longer relevant to the newer iterations. If it meets your needs I wouldn't hesitate to buy.

Interior stains - what are they and how to clean?

Just so you're aware, you're advising exactly what my manufacturer recommends AGAINST doing - no bleach or harsh chemicals. Page 62 of my Chap owners manual... Follow manufacturer’s instructions closely. NEVER use steel wool, powdered abrasive cleaners, or bleaches. They will mar the surface...

Interior stains - what are they and how to clean?

https://www.glastron.com/us/owners-manuals Open up section 5.3 once you switch to the 2003 model year...it discusses cleaning your interior and also mentions what you should use (and shouldn't). Or...call the manufacturer as they're still in business to see what they recommend. Going off the...

In search for a 17 ft deck boat

In all honesty, probably about a year late on a boat decision. Not trying to be nasty but when Covid hit, about the only activity people could come up with was to hitch a boat up and hit the water. So used stock is depleted. New stock....you should have ordered about 2 months ago give or take...

    Hey Newbies

Hey newbs.... If you don't have the paperwork for your boat/trailer and we tell ya to check with your registering authority (DMV, BMV, Dept Nat Resources, etc) perhaps you should stop arguing about what you can do and actually...you know...call them to find out what they LEGALLY require to do...

How to register a gifted boat?

https://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,4670,7-127-96435_15242-34638--,00.html I'd read the part about the title since you do have a permanently affixed motor on the boat.

First deck replacement, I have questions

If carpet isn't in your plans I would consider something along the lines of SeaDek (there are other brands out there as well). Going to be expensive so be prepared on that part (my swim platform was around $5-600 all said and done if I recall correctly) but well worth it in my mind.

    Newbie Hull Accessory Installation Question

Not saying its right or wrong but what I did on my Four Winns when I added some cleats was this... Drilled next size up holes for the bolts I was installing. Took a tooth pick and liberally coated the hole with 2 part Epoxy to seal it. Calk down between cleat and hull to seal that potential...

How to register a gifted boat?

IF it were me, I'd be returning it to the person you got it from. Here's why... You were "gifted" the boat from Person 1. No documentation. Person 1 was "gifted" the boat from Person 2. No documentation. Who's to say Person 2 was legally entitled to actually transfer the boat? Again, no...

    Integrated swim platform leaking?

Bet you tipped the drive a bit before goosing it to get it back on the trailer right? How are your bellows??

Starcraft MDX 191 - Dashboard Material

I'd take a pic of the dash and then go to a vinyl sign shop. Have an oversized vinyl sheet (wrap) made up with the correct grain pattern/color. Pop the gauges out, apply vinyl, then cut openings where you need them. But that's just me...

Dragon Keelboat 1964 restoration... Need help!

That's going to be a labor of love. I certainly hope you have lots of time on your hands as that's going to be a long road back to being sea worthy. You might hit up NedL if he's still bobbing around here as he completed a wooden boat restore not too long ago and may be able to offer some pointers.

    Any 2017+ Nissan Titan owners?

To answer your question...my other vehicle is a 4Runner which tows 5k, has 3rd row, has been taken over by my wife, and I have been told I have to pry the keys from her dead hands :) I use my truck as the primary tow vehicle for my family and my boys are growing so I'm now into Crew Cab...

    Any 2017+ Nissan Titan owners?

Lease is coming due on my 2019 Ram Express Classic (v6, double cab, 4x4, tows 7400lbs). After driving it for 2 years, there are things that the engineers simply missed on this truck. I mean really, who in this day and age neglects to put steering wheel radio controls on a vehicle? Or the...

Question on tape for engine hatchk

If the seal is in good shape and the only issue is that its drooping, I would get some weatherstripping adhesive and reattach it. Autoparts stores should carry it. Done deal.

    Jet boat comparison

Alot of marinas around me are saying either order now (really last month) for this year OR if you wait you'll be boating next year. NEW supply is limited...even some of the manufacturers are saying that on their own websites as well. When the pandemic hit, boat stock was depleted as it was one...

1988 Chris Craft Cavalier 198 parts needed....

Taylormade probably manufactured the windshield for your boat. IF you call them for a quote, make absolutely certain your children know CPR as you may have heart palpations when you get the price. Hint: My cousin had to replace the center section (flat glass) on his Searay deck boat. The glass...

    Bayliner 2012 315 - Any reviews/thoughts?

Bayliner is owned by Brunswick...Merc....so that's what you'll find. As to how powerful....well that's anyone's guess as Bayliners are customizable in that regard. Can't help ya beyond that as my budget is a tad bit smaller than a 30'....assuming that's the size based off model.

    2021 NFL/NCAAF News and Nonsense

The cynic in me thinks that this is a smear campaign. Watson says he wants out. Houston says no way in heck. Watson digs in and says I call your bluff. Houston launches smear campaign so if Watson doesn't relent, ain't no one coming near him. Take a step back and look at it...all this came...

    1983 Monark Transom

Your transom shouldn't have any play in it...clue #1. There shouldn't be caulk/goo on top of your transom cap....clue #2 Those cracks are stress cracks from a failing/failed transom...clue #3. I'd suggest thoroughly inspecting this boat before further use....then locate the resto forum if you...
