Shift interrupt switch - how to adjust??

Think that sounds about right. Might need some gear oil topped up too…if I could be so cheeky to suggest it. Unless you’ve done away with that header system and alarm. All the best.

better to be at the low end or top end of RPM?

To be honest…it maybe can..when it comes to bigger blade heavy props like that. But I’d also add that there are excellent damping hub kits available now that will lessen such things. But on that note. Some props are hugely heavier than others. The difference between an enertia 3 blade x7 and a...

better to be at the low end or top end of RPM?

I’d say that the standard k series ally prop on a Yamaha (excellent engine) like that…is a great prop to be fair. They run better than any of the cheaper stainless props about. But a good merc expensive stainless is hard to beat. Even a good old laser 2 is an exceptional thing for some boats

    Solenoid clicking.

Agree completely. Anything less than 12.5 at rest and it’s in question. Anything less than 10 when cranking and it’s no good or its ability to get power via its terminals or cables is no good. In my opinion at least

Can’t get my 05 crownline 202br to start.

Hopefully you’ve got it sorted. Make sure you got the right plugs for her. Not cheap ! But required.

Can’t get my 05 crownline 202br to start.

Check what the voltage is when cranking it. Pessimistic man also suggests taking the plugs out and making sure there is no water too. Away from that idea…check the wiring and continuity of the main battery cables to the starter. Finally…yea yeah…I’m going to mention it…change the distributor...

    Is this oil pressure normal?

Bad earth at the dash…or sender wiring…or possibly blocked. Keep and eye on that turbo and in particular…the timing belt. Famous for needing scrapped after an undue belt failure. Make sure it’s changed immediately if unknown and before the recommendation on interval, I’d advise, if known...

MERCRUISER 5.0 MPI 2005 ALARM NOT MORE THAN 2500 RPM

Hi. Be great to get it plugged in…but a gambling man would suggest it’s a result of a short in or around the control box and probably the neutral safety switch in there. Trim position sensor also possible with DTS controls. Or you have the drive trimmed up into trailer or beyond the trim limit...

Shift interrupt switch - how to adjust??

Hi. Where did you put the fuel flow sender. Being a carb…it is presumably an analogue flow sender that’s sending a converted signal to your plotter there. Depending on where you’ve fitted it..you might find that the closing of the float on the carb…may be having influence

2003 Yamaha Outboard oil injection adjustment

Very reliable injection system on these engines. I’d have kept it operating. It’s likely your linkage to the throttle movement that varies the rate of oil flow…has failed. It can then (on some Yamaha) default to full flow, for safety measures. Certainly on some I’ve known or had in bits.

    Randomly collapsing primer bulb?

Hi. Most commonly this is caused by one of a couple of things. The vent on the tank blocked The primer bulb and fuel line is on the wrong way about (they are uni directional) The fuel line and/or tank pick up is getting blocked at its source The fuel filter (if fitted) is blocked The non...

    Solenoid clicking.

Hi. The mention of a start button might be a suspect and unusual diy addition somewhere in its past. Usually a key to start these on the remote box. Check the function and wiring to the button or whatever set up is there perhaps. But perhaps if I could also add some recent identical issue and...

better to be at the low end or top end of RPM?

Agree…only exception might be for this use…or maybe a fast light v shaped (no pad) outboard hull…that a 4 blade might make behave better…meaning it can be held full throttle without trying to kill you ! Maybe then. Just maybe…it might offset the terrible prop slip they have wot…compared to a 3...

    SS prop for?

Hi. Not impossible, but quite unusual for most of the normal merc stainless props for that gearcase to come in even pitch sizes. Outwith more expensive merc props like enertia and similar. That aside, the number (without looking it up) given there doesn’t look like a mercury part number...

Edit…that serial number was on the block. Not the core plug.
