What is involved in removing center live well from 2017 tracker panfish 16?

WOW, your boat has the EXACT same layout that I built my boat to. And I mean exact too!. I wanted that center live well/seat area so if a grand-kid goes along, he can sit in that center area. Sure will I could have known this a few years ago. I could have taken that center live well off your...

What is involved in removing center live well from 2017 tracker panfish 16?

First things first! Welcome to iboats. We always like to have a new member... Not familiar with your boat and/or how it is setup, so post a picture or three for us to see what you are dealing with. If you have plans to completely remove it, then YES, there are things that will need sealed off...

    Amazing 3D Printing

Not sure I have any software to feed it. I don't have any type CAD or 3D design programs. So I guess It would take some good 3D software to make the proper file format for it. I have no idea what he was going to feed it from...

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

You are probably right. But you have to remember, back in the early '70s I was so much more young and dumb at the time. Now I am old...but still dumb... lol

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Nice looking carb for sure. The only way to get bigger is to turn a gas can upside down over the intake and open the spout. It would be interesting to see which one would run out of gas first. I do remember my days when bigger was better. So I installed a Holly 850 double pumper carb with a...

    Amazing 3D Printing

"And as the upper thigh was printing, gravity took over." Well isn't that true it real life as well, gravity takes over and everything droops and falls apart? lol I've had a high end 3D printer sitting in my shop for at least two years or more now. My younger adult son bought one and...

    Tips, Hints and Other Ideas

Okay I asked about making such a thread for everyone to contribute to, to offer ideas that could help others doing boating or other shop projects. If the "MODS" think this is okay, then here it is, if not well that's okay too. First, I am reasonably sure everyone has angle grinders and probably...

1999 Doral 270 - Dash Switches not working

If there was a temp change from the one day to the next, then you do have an iffy connection somewhere. So I would NOT wait for it to do it again! I mean you could be somewhere where you need everything working. I would start at the source(s) and clean and reconnect terminals and connections...

1976 Tom Boy Boat, 1976 40 HP Johnson Outboard and who knows what Trailer

Not so much of an update on the boat project. Many things are going on. Seems my older sister who was initially working on dad's estate, made her decision to stop working on our passing dad's estate and handed everything over to me to settle his final estate. OMG! Actually mailed everything to...

    Am I crazy

A less costly idea would be to purchase a few headphones that allow you to talk between others in a normal conversation. And the noise cancelling would be a bonus too... Think motorcycle type setups...

Help troubleshooting trailer lights not working

Your vehicle SHOULD be grounded properly to the white wire AND the frame. However, IF the white wire is broken, either on the vehicle side or trailer side, nothing will work. So verify the white wire is grounded both on the vehicle AND the trailer. A simple digital volt/ohm meter will enable you...

    Electric starter and rectifier

Okay, the wire size totally depends on the current output of the start kit and stator. If the kit states how much current the stator output can be, then you buy the appropriate gauge wire to handle that current. For example, it the out put is 10 amp, and I don't see that much output happening...

Ted Williams and Gamefisher both 7.5

I actually had one of those during my early years of fishing. I bought it for a song and of course, dead spark. However back then the ignition module was $23 dollars and easy to find. I changed that module and it fired right up and run pretty well. I am not up to date on part availability for...

    Engine Height

Yes, a picture or three would certainly help with answers. I personally have no experience with pontoon setups. But you are correct with the cavitation plate being even with the bottom of boats. And even some times a little higher then that depending on circumstances. But with pontoons, I'll let...

    Electric starter and rectifier

You may have a few problems. First, if your engine is a pull start, then there probably isn't a stator installed. And that means you can't charge anything being how there is no stator and/or a rectifier circuit. If you have a stator, then you should be able to find the appropriate rectifier and...

    Gauges not working

If all you have to fix are a few gauges, you're good to go. And I say that with all honesty. Most USED boats have a heck of a lot more hiding for the new uneducated buyers then a few non-working gauges. And if the gauges are a worrisome finance issue, maybe you need to rethink buying a boat...

1976 Tom Boy Boat, 1976 40 HP Johnson Outboard and who knows what Trailer

I think what KJM was referring to is the stainless steel flue inside the brick chimney. A lot of masonry chimneys these days have stainless steel flue liners. You can't see them, but they are there to make it easier to clean and maintain.

1976 Tom Boy Boat, 1976 40 HP Johnson Outboard and who knows what Trailer

Well Chuck, They probably didn't have levels, or decided not to use one, but it did the job all those years, even looking like a "dog's hind leg". But now you get to improve on their initial design and make it look more like a "dog's front leg... lol Just be safe as you rebuild it though... Any...
