As far as the bow taking on water over the bow, Demark is correct. However, there should be a snap on cover you can put on there to let most of the water to roll off if you get into a widy/wavey day. Don't ask how I know....

Possibly closed to the public. Up here it never closes but in some area's they may stop letting the public in to curb theft's. That wouldn't work to well with the boaters if they closed the gates so you couldn't leave or get there early.

Yeah the tell tail is hooked up and working perfectly. With the hood off I see no water in the cowl area. But when underway it leaks from the top bracket as well as gets water in the cowl. On the hard it spits water out the upper bracket also.

I mostly watch the weather myself, but I know how this lake works in my area, Lake Superior, Apostle islands area. The local forecasts get you close but it changes rapidly up here. NOAA is a good source for checking your area, as well as listening to the vhf weather channel in your area. even at...

Did you take a boaters safety course? You should even if it's not required. Also it wouldn't hurt to get some maps of the different areas you plan to be in and study them for depth and obstructions, ect.... A good depth gauge on the boat is a must. Make sure all your safety gear is up to par...

35 hp, Model number: 6492172. Last summer the motor ran ok at first, then started acting up. It would cut out slowly and not idle properly. upon looking there was water coming out of the upper mount, just below the powerhead, and water dripping out the pan itself. I don't see any water leaking...

Need guidance on 30 Year old Fuel Tank

Looks great to me! Good idea to add them brackets, saves fastening it down in a different way. Is the wire from the left side the ground wire? Most tanks are bonded also.

Newbie owner looking for boat specific details

For cutting out the foam, I used an electric knife. I did buy a new one for the wife though.... Anyway, easy to slice deep and knock out the cubes. Cleaned it up with a wire wheel and a sanding disk on the angle grinder.

1986 Alpha One has leaked oil since service....

The water pump kit does not come with the seals to service the entire drive. Changing the trim sensers is a good idea along with the bellows and gimble bearing.
