    Filet Table Engine Cover

Pick your poison…..wood and starboard (I have both) have their issues as a filet table. The filet/bait board I use on the boat is a maple cutting board on a gimbal mount for use in a rod holder. Works great, but needs to be “oiled/waxed”on a regular basis to keep the surface from absorbing...

    !/2 ton Truck towing limitations

Guessing the need for a WHD at #5k and above is boiler plate. When weight is applied to a hitch, the rear axle becomes the pivot point in the transfer of weight to the front axle. In effect, the weight on the hitch reduces the load in the front axle, compromising both the steering and braking...

    2006 triton 24LTS Verado 250

Confirms the PCM is sending and receiving data. Unless you find a cable issue between j box and gauge, the CPU in the gauge is bad

If you see the logo flash the computer is trying to boot but failing. Pull and check all network and power connections from motor to gauge for corrosion and power. Cant rule out the interface module or the gauge going/gone bad

    Replacement gauges for a 2003 Crownline 230BR

You can spend as little or as much as you want. But as with everything, you get what you pay for Gauges sizes for the most part have been standardized. The voltmeter gauge from xyz mfg. is going to be the same size as the OE gauge. Pick a price point and a design and go from there

Recommended DVA meter or DVA adapter for a Fluke digital meter

A number of Fluke units have a “fast” min/max peak function. Others have min/max peak recording functions. Certainly cheaper to go with a analog meter and an adapter, but Fluke does offer the functionality on several of its models...

    2003 90HP 4stroke TPS issue

Please be safe and don't forget to use your venting blower when fueling.

Too slow… A diesel Shamrock made it to the short list when I bought my last boat. Too slow and too much draft for my liking

    What fuel to run?

Two of my three vehicles give HP and Torque as a function of octane. Both are GDI, high compression, turbo charged engines that support 87, 88 (flex) and 93 octane. The manual goes on to state the fuel itself doesn’t cause the increase. The increase is due to the use of more aggressive tunes...

    G3 Bay 17 transducer placement

I suspect it’s a transducer mount so you don’t have to drill the hull. Mount lays flat instead of you typical 90 degree when mounted on the transom

    Gauges I might need

Digital motor…would need a A/D convertor to support existing analog gauges. Depending on your budget, could replace everything it’s a Yammi digital “information station” display Could use a standard yammi “command link”if you don’t mind scrolling thru menus to see everything

    changing transducers and fishfinders.

A little different than my situation. I'm chasing migratory fish (Stripers and Tuna) traveling as individuals or in small groups Trolling #65 and #80 braid with lead heads (parachutes) and or in-lines for depth control. Typically fish no deeper than 25'. Most caught in the top 5'-10' water...
