Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

The Admiral's handy work with cleaning the interior (which had a lot of dirt behind where the seats and trim were. Also the paint removal on the helm seat frames. . . . . . . . . So the interior is ready for seat installation once the weather warms up a bit.

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

. The original ones were a bit smaller, and 'finding' the screw amongst the foam cushioning was a bit tricky. These bigger grommets might make it easier. The Admiral spent this morning cleaning the interior of the boat in preparation of re-installing the seats and sidewall trim...

These brass grommets are to provide access to a buried fastener that hold the back of the seat on the backrest frame. .

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

It was my day to wake up the rooster  , so I've already started to work on the helm seat cover. I noticed that the original skin had a seam right where the vinyl would start to tuck under/around the base of the foam. The panel is going to be the diamond pleat and the other backrests...

Painting outboards to match the boat's color scheme is a 'thing' now. So, no worries about not painting original color.

2001 SeaRay Sundeck 240 Windshield Compatibility

Welcome to iBoats . . . :D Tornado !!! Did the boat fly up in the air and spin around? Any other damage? Most of the boat windshields are made by Taylor Industries. You could try Great Lakes Skipper or just Google a bit. Sort of a needle in a haystack type of search. See if you...

    Restoring my boat

Welcome to iBoats. . . :D That does not look like a sailboat . If a mild bleach & water solution won't do the trick, then you may be best to have the cushions recovered. Most local upholstery shops that handle cars also can do boat cushions. Since those are fairly simple, just about...

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

Here is the day's work. The red inset pieces are done. . . These are the last of the red pieces. They went together fairly easy. I think I'm getting better at dealing with the french seams. The helm seats have to go together in a certain sequence, so some of the pieces get partially done...

here are the major pieces to the helm seat . . . . . It took a while to get everything apart and remove the 1.5 million staples 🤪 There are 2 of these seats. So, I'll be seeing and doing double for a while. I already did the armrests as per the prior post. Now moving onto the piece on the...

    Grass Cutting

Since I spend most of my time messing around with boats and conversing with you guys online, I've let crab grass take over my lawn, much to my neighbor's dismay. Therefore I don't have to cut the grass until late June when the crab grass comes in and I stop cutting it in early...

PLEASE HELP NEW BOAT OWNER CRACK

Welcome to iBoats. Just say no to crack :ROFLMAO: . . . As the others have said . . . got to be fixed and dis-assmbly would be the right thing to do to see if it can be fixed rather than replaced. Since the boat has been in your possession for a year, do you recall any instances of impact...

    Truck 5.7 engine into boat

There is not a whole lot that you can do with the cam on a marine engine . . . because . . . you need to have sufficient valve timing separation in order to avoid 'reversion' of the exhaust at idle speeds and the resulting hydro-lock of the engine  Truck cams are similar to marine cams...

Mercruiser Bravo 2 alignment tool 1/32 wobble at end of alignment shaft? Too much?

Welcome to iBoats, long time lurker :D Well, I'm not sure if there is a certain 'specification' of 'end play' for the tool. The procedure would be to check alignment, remove the tool, rotate the engine 90˚ check alignment, repeat 2 more times. Ideally, the tool should slide into the coupler...
