Need a Stator for 1994 Force 70 Outboard

DVA or Peak Reading Voltmeter. That's what you need to take the readings on Force outboards.

    50 hp high speed misfire

ANYTIME!!! you have a miss you should do the starting fluid test. Start the motor, spray starting fluid around the intake side . This includes under the coil/pack bracket the carb bases and around the port covers. If the spray makes any difference?? then it's got a bad gasket and sucking air.

    '87 Force 125HP ignition problem

I'll say it again!! A stator that tests good, can be bad :) Actually I've said that a bunch of times.

Do all forces have overheat buzzers?

IF??? your motor came with the controls?? then it might have a buzzer. TEST: turn key on(not running) then ground the orange lead from the back of the motor. That should make the buzzer sound off. The controls might have the buzzer built into it.

    50 hp high speed misfire

Do the starting fluid test. Start motor, spray SF around the intake side of the motor, that includes under the coils and pack, around the port covers(2) a the base of the carb. The port covers have a gasket that can fail with a misfire, cough and stutter allowing the motor to run crappy.

Need to adjust the dial 1990 Force carbs mixture

1990 WHAT??? The 3cyl. the carbs are set at 1 turn and left there. "Factory direction" You might need to adjust them and 1/8th turn should be all you need. The 125/120/150/50 all need to be set at 1 1/2 turn out then adjusted from there. In the water. Warm motor and in gear, slowly turn the...

    The fall

Last week I found how far down the ground is. I tripped over a jack stand and landed on a Mercruiser lower unit and a electric scooter. I thought I broke my arm/shoulder. Nope, just scraped and bruised everywhere. Haven't been able to move good or at all. Younger, I would have bounced, not...

    Why does everybody hate Force?

Force and Johnson around 1988 85hp. Both got about the same mileage. A customer had a 23 225 and my 21 with twin 85 Forces got just about the same 3.2 mpg. Force was actually cheaper to fix than ALL the other outboards. AND there was NO MAJIC in fixing them, just get the manual and a DVA meter...

    Force outboard maintenance

88/50 That's a good motor and can last a long time. The others have covered just about all on the regular list. Gonna add 1 thing. The Force/Chrysler can develop a problem. I call it the starting fluid test. Start the motor and spray starting fluid around the intake side of the engine. That...

Is this a L drive or not?

Pump is for trim/tilt. The T@T is a good one, used by Mercury and Volvo

Is this a L drive or not?

What happened to my other post??? My 1st reply disappeared?? Censorship? That motor is a Force adapted to a through hull application. NOT a good idea at all. Thay got the nickname Hell Drive. Hard to work on, harder to locate parts and expensive. The motor itself is the same dependable one...

Can I use any 2 stroke oil?

The "other" oil is way different than TCW3 The other oil can cause the rings to seize from carbon deposits. TCW3 doesn't have the ash that causes carbon on the rings

    1988/125

My twin Force 88/85hp. ran best at 44-4600rpm. 3.2 mpg Past that it was faster but the economy suffered. I found the right prop and load along with trim position makes all the difference.
