    Fishing boat with cabin.

Grady is way over rated . Just spent the day on a 23 Parker with a 300 Yammi hanging on it . A lot better than a Grady IMHO with a fishing deck that equals a 28 ' boat .

New member here, not new to boats but never had to know the info I need now back then like I do now...LOL.

Twin I/O s of that vintage were not counter rotating . The expense to convert is stupid . I had 2 straight 6s and just adjusted with trim tabs and raising the port drive more than the starboard side . Hull will list/ torque to port side , put as much weight , batteries ,holding tanks ,anchors...

    1993 262 Crowne

If you can't trace any of the water lines to the tank and you have opened every nook and cranny and still can't find it , sell the boat and join some boat club .

Probably no manual ever came with it that would have any kind of schematics on it. Your going to have to trace the water lines to the tank. Starting at the faucet or outside fill tube. Most of the time they are in the engine compartment ( straight inboards )set up to off set some sort of...

    What is this port?

I will put money on one of your two bellows as being the issue. I assume it's a Mercruiser drive. Just looking at them is not good enough. You have to pull the drive to properly inspect it. As in running your fingers across and into every crevice and fold. And that's not always 100% correct as...

Hi all from new Searay owner

And what did the retrofit cost you ? What did the boat cost if you recently bought it vs a standard engine drive set up. I don't care about fuel economy, it's a boat and that word does not have anything in common with economy . If people are going to whine about fuel and boats then maybe they...

    Slip size

If the Marina is aware of it then go ahead and 3' ( 1- 1/2 foot per side ) is plenty of clearance . As far as you boat sticking out a few more feet I wouldn't worry about that . My boat sticks out about 8 feet and I am on the outside of a tight maybe 2 boats can fit turn in a harbor. And if no...

    Slip size

Is the Marina good with that ? I really doubt it once they see your paperwork is for 50 in a 45 slip. How is the beam ? Of course it's going to have to he backed in as well.

Are Boston Whalers as prone to waterlogging as other boats?

I have seen Whalers motoring along in the Caribbean with parts of there sides missing / ripped off . Closed cell foam doesn't " absorb " water until a cell is compromised ,either from the hull pounding on it to screw holes and whatever else smacks the hull. Unless the hull is stupid heavy as in...

Are Boston Whalers as prone to waterlogging as other boats?

Nope . They did not use balsa wood. You can have 150 lbs of water in a 13 ' and never know it .

Are Boston Whalers as prone to waterlogging as other boats?

A lot of haters on here. Go to Facebook, Everything Boston Whaler , you will get honest answers there. Yes 99 % of Whalers have some sort of water in the foam . It's not the end of the world .

No power to fromt of boat

You have confirmed the battery is good , even a " new one " . So you put the test light on the battery and it lights up ?Then you go to the other end of the same cable ( at the console hook up ) and there is no power at that terminal ? This is what you seem to be writing. Don't assume anything.

No power to fromt of boat

" Just replaced the battery " I would start by making sure you did not miss a wire being hooked up. Next I would take a test light and see if I am getting power to the control panel / fuse / relay box .If no power , back trace it from there. A simple cheap test light is a good thing to have in...

    all motor no prop

Odds are your prop hub is spun. Might not be able to make it spin freely by hand. Put a mark across the shaft and hub. Fire it up and drop it in gear and give it a shot of gas. Lines dont match up ,spun hub . Or drop your spare on it and see what happens.

Despite the name I think it's a one man show. Guy was real nice , quick and to the point.

    Air condition not working

Check all the spaded terminal connections, mine were crusty ( fridge ) and by doing that it started working on 110 again.. tampabaymarina.com has all parts for that Cruisair . Had to replace board and controller was around 400 if I recall correctly. My problem with that vs fridge.was it wasn't...

    2001 Chaparral 230 SSi vs. 2007 SeaRay Sundeck 200

Sea Ray's are the most over-rated boats built. They are mass produced and will cut corners wherever possible. A step above a Bayliner. They are very good as far as marketing goes , your a case in point with your thoughts on a " Sea Ray " . Get the biggest boat you can fit , afford , trailer...
