    LOWER END OIL CHANGE

Get a " low head" bolt....looks just like a factory plug but has a hex drive in the center. Often the outside dia of the head is to big to fit the recess so chuck up the bolt and grind the head dia down until it fits. Much easier than messing with a slotted head screw !

Look around and see if you gave some old car collecters and reconstruction clubs in tour area. Often these guys do there own upholstery, overhead trims etc. They often do boat covers in the side to stay busy as it takes the same equipment to do both. I gave had a couple made by these guys over...

    Nobody fishing?

Years back a friend had access to a private lake that held monster size bluegills. Due to heavy weed cover there were no skiers or jet skis running all over. He and I would go out and get our 30 per person limit in a few hours, only keeping those 9" or over, often finding gills over 10"...

cowl air inlet on mercury 9.9.

Where the grab handle is located, there should be an intake up near the top so water can't get in. Can be hard to see, check for wasp/bees nests there. Blow air up into the area and you should feel air moving. It could be possible that it became blocked somehow, but that is where all have...

    boat snap on covers

Like everything else, what are you going to do with it and how long do you expect it to last ? Water tight or just to keep debris out ? Just keeping debris out and most of the water, then an over the counter general purpose will work. You will need to add extra support to keep the cover tight...

    I should add a 2nd battery...

Back in the day, my canvass covers always leaked a little, but very manageble. Last cover I had made looked like the material used in convertible car tops, not sure the name. Never leaked a drop, sold the boat after 10 years and did not when I sold it. Neighbor has that stuff, I think it is...

    I should add a 2nd battery...

If the bilge pump keeps running the battery down, perhaps a better cover is needed to keep the water out. My 140 ah lifepo4 battery will run for many days without running down. Solve the problem rather than patching with bandaids, so it appears...
