    Hang on..... you do need to know where you TDC is(and it mark on the flywheel) before you do anything. You can verify by stick a screw driver (if proper tool is not avail.) in the #1 cylinder and find the spot where it sticks out the most, this verifies if the key is not sheared and the flywheel...

    Full throttle WOT, you'll have to jump the starter so it will crank (as now it in gear) Keep your legs away from the propeller or remove. Disconnect the fuel-line!!! and you may want to have the Cylinder wall lubed with some oil

    You can use a timing light designed for 4-stroke, however the RPM-reading will not be correct!! for that you will need a secondary (cheap handheld)

    Hi Nordin, I had a '92 powerhead that already had the Merc. controls and had change the bottom plate/Timing tower to make at work on my '90 set-up. the one in the picture shows the water intake higher up (the version before it became a complete Merc. LU & inner changeable with any 2 shaft models)

    You will have to pull the prop-shaft!! and see why its "frozen" Check for damage on the gears & look for it, like I said earlier
