    dont forget the tube for the rigging hose. on aluminum ones, that is welded in. on your fiberglass one, that would be glassed in.

    the steering cable should be hot-stamped every foot or so with the cable part number. so you can get the length and series from that number. you may have to pull it out to read the numbers or measure it. Pro-tip, tie a bit of nylon chord on the end of the steering cable when you pull it out...

    Ted, maybe use a rounded off squarish hole? 17" x 17" with 4" radius would give you more open area than the 18", similar to that of the 20".

    steering parts are not made by four winns, however from companies like seastar (formerly teledyne) another place for steering slop is your tiller arm on the drive.

    Ted, one thing that popped in my head, the armstrong pods have a bilge pump make sure you have some limber holes in the stringers / braces and a pad for a bilge pump.

    the aluminimum versions as made by Armstong use regular plastic deck hatch covers on top. usuall the 6-3/4" or 8", however some have used larger. usually the ones with the big plastic screw so they dont have to deal with hardware.
