    Those coils are no good.----You think you have spark but I say no.-----You have some / weak spark.----Use a test device and see if spark will jump a gap of 1/4" ( 6 mm ) or more.-----With gas in the cylinders ( pots ) it should bark / roar like a dog or a wild lion !!

    The 1986 carburetors do not show a low speed mixture needle.----Nor the red piece to lock the low speed needle.-----So we do not know what you have or what you are doing.

    It has the cracked ignition coils.----That is something that happens to each and every one of these OMC motors.----New ones are available everywhere.------It has a lower unit that was used on 2 HP models.-----That carburetor is one I have never seen before.

    With Belgium models there sometimes are strange things happening.-----The American models do not have a fuel tank like that.

    The pick up timing is a most confusing thing.-----It is the point where throttle plates open.-----Where the timing is on a smooth running motor at idle does not matter !

    The Johnson brothers started in 1922.------So only the 1972 model year is 50th anniversary.------In 1972 motors were green.------Any pictures ?----And your math is somewhat puzzling.-----I heard 1922 to 1982 would be 60 years.------Perhaps the 72 plate was put on another motor ?

    Decals were used in 81 / 82 / 83 model years.----A very good motor if you are willing to learn how to fix it yourself.

    That be the plug for a tachometer.----I have always said that electrical stuff / wires is confusing.

    Maybe the bypass covers are warped.----It should be easy to find / correct any leaks on the crankcase.

    Some had a plug on the control box.------I can not see or feel your control box !!-----Do not know if yours is a control box from 1973 or 1995 !!!

    1974 Evinrude 25hp wont run.

    It appears he has a tester as per post #12-----Says he can't get more than about a 3/16" gap to fire.-----Posts a picture of it in #15 and apparently it will not fire across a 5/16" gap.

    The bulb is a simple manual fuel pump.----It must go hard when carburetors are full.-----Look into issues with electric primer valve or float valves.
