    Stop guessing.----Run with a timing light hooked up.----One cylinder at a time.----Observe the flashing light as you speed up the boat.

    ???-----Why would you even think of using a solenoid other than a factory one.----And I say that 9 out of 10 solenoids that are replaced are in good working order !

    Some will argue but compression should be around 140 PSI on that motor.-----Perhaps check fuel pump diaphragm.-----If ruptured , a new diaphragm is not expensive.----No mixture adjustment on those other than changing the jets.

    1991 Evinrude 60hp VRO - Won't Idle

    Put a new impeller in every 5 years.----The "tell tale " is a term used for the water pump indicator ( pisser ) on your motor.----There was a service bulletin out in 1994 to move the tell tale hose fitting to the top of the block.----So I doubt yours has been done.
