    You need more water in that test bucket.---Water must be 6"or 8 " above the pump.--------The timing tool is nothing but a " dummy flywheel "----So you can use the flywheel you have.----Just takes a little longer.

    The large nipple on the primer is for fuel at pressure from the fuel pump.----The primer valve has 2 small nipples.----One hose connect to one and goes to one carburetor nipple.-----The hose to other nipple has a TEE and goes to 2 carburetors.----The order and which carburetor does not matter.

    Exhaust cover gaskets perhaps.-------Not a reed valve.

    water in VRO tank

    Clean the oil tank.---Replace the filter.-----Fill oil tank.----Remove air from hose .---Attach hose to VRO.--Operate oil primer bulb to prime VRO.--Mix first tank with 50:1.----Verify that VRO is injecting oil.----Hopefully previous owner did not run it with water injection.

    Why not make an adapter for an air hose.------Possibly use an o-ring to make a seal.---Set the regulator to 10 PSI ---Put it over a rivet and have your helper spray some soapy water around the rivet inside the boat.

    They really are just " core plugs " used to close up holes after the casting process.----They have been mistakenly called " freeze plugs " for years.-----They are not meant to protect an engine from freeze damage !!!

    These are " high tech motors " compared to 30 years ago.-----No fiddling by owner is practical.-----Call the shop.

    If the starter had a hard time turning it is due to a bad battery.----Or bad starter.-----Pulling it over with rope will get the compression readings.

    Actually the coils often ---" burn through "--- on the bottom and short to the magneto plate.----This why some of have tested for spark using a testing device.

    If you do not know how old the impeller is you need to install a new one.-----This motor does not have an alarm or shut down system.-----It will overheat and run till it is too late !
