    I use my compressor on occasion.-----The drain valve is left OPEN just a wee , wee bit.----Automatically drains condensation when it is used.------If you have an old compressor then a HYDROSTATIC test is a good idea.------There must be guide at what pressure to test it at.

    Perhaps the previous owner thought that 12 volts needs to be applied to get spark.-----Wrong.-----On this motor the magneto makes the spark.-----The 2 " m " terminals on the ignition switch are OPEN to run.----And CLOSED to stop the motor.

    Those seals last about 20 years or so.------Pressure test this lower unit to find leaks if you have any.----Why would you not replace the shift rod o-ring ?----A simple part of the job !----And how do you fill your gearcase.---From bottom to the top ?
