    Oil that has been in a gearcase for 30 years works the same as if you put it in yesterday.-----The gearcase is a sealed container.

    Some simple things to do.-------Try operating the manual fuel pump.-----Test run with another hose and tank.-----Replace impeller.-----Check flywheel key.------Check wiring from under flywheel to the powerpack.

    When the piston clearance near the rings get to about 0.018 / 0.020" and it does that.------- These tapered rings rings move in and out al the time !!-----It wears the groove,----New rings will not seat / seal properly.-----It seems to me that it is a difficult concept for me to get across.

    Sorry----I see a plug where the red arrow points.----That is NOT an adjusting screw for mixture !!----Some carburetors you have to remove the float bowl to get at the low speed orifice plug.------You have to take that plug out to find the high speed orifice plug ( calibrated hole ) for...

    The first step would be to check position of flywheel key relative to TDC on the 2 crankshafts.
