    Wood rot HELP

Put it like it was, if not better. If you want to add more support, go for it,just don’t block access for later.

Does anyone have experience with “Race only” push to start system install,

It's much easier to install an ignition switch. Another small panel for the accessories.

    Causes for concern?

Agree with all the above, if the exhaust bellow is that bad the rest are not far behind.

Water in bilge? Bilge pump runs too often.

I personally don’t care for sierra. Having worked with them parts 15-17 years ago, they were not good. I know some of their parts have improved over time but if I need parts that are reliable, I go to quicksilver.

    Leaking Fuel Sender

They do make rubber fuel proof gaskets also. The cork ones are fine, so are the rubber ones. I actually have a couple spares from when I worked at a marina and had to replace senders. The new ones come with a gasket, but the old rubber gaskets were good. So being who I am, I saved them.

New transom installed but outside of transom is not flat

Mine was like that also. I applied glass on the outer transom then faired as minimal as possible. Used a long straightedge to make sure it was flat as flat. The only worry I had was if the motor would line up properly, but it was perfect. Only had to tweak the mounts a touch. I had rebuilt all...

Water in bilge? Bilge pump runs too often.

Don’t do that^^^ use genuine quicksilver kit, you will be glad you did. I’m not a fan of doing i again any time soon again.

    Bilge pump float sticking.

Yeah, but there are some that test by running the pump, they start and stop if there is no resistance. If it detects resistance it runs till it grabs air and stops. Those are the type I don’t like. Others detect it differently. Those are ok.

£20million superyacht goes up in flames

Yes I know. Seen one that came in several years ago, it had 30 8d batteries, plus the engine batteries. Clean install, but glad we didn’t have to replace that lot!

    Bilge pump float sticking.

I personally don’t like the water sensing ones as they keep testing every few minutes, it’ll drain the battery over time unless plugged into shore power. I’m a fan of floats myself.

    Bilge pump float sticking.

Well, what I do is remove the entire set up, it can be a pain to do so as access is limited. Seal any old screw holes with epoxy or 3m 4000. from there I fabricate an aluminum flat bar stock from the hardware store wide enough to install a pump and float switch. Have the aluminum flat bar...

£20million superyacht goes up in flames

Glad no one was hurt. I'd hate to be the one responsible for whatever caused that issue! Seen a few bigger newer boats that have had wiring issues, nothing that big but it doesn't take much for something to happen. Heck, Maby it had lithium-ion batteries that shorted?

Is it vacu flush? If the vacuumed leaks, it’ll pump up on occasion. Time to find the leak.
