I have replaced with complete water pump replacement, Still running hot. Removed cylinder head, water coming from all holes on bottom cyl. none from top cylinder. Any ideas? thanks guys
It has been working fine, until today. The pump is working, but not moving, so I put more fluid still nothing. The fluid is not leaking out anywhere. I can physically lift the motor with no problem.any ideas?? Thanks
i have to replace my pinion bearing. it looks difficult, i am having a hard time just getting the old one out.Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

this motor starts easy and seems to run ok at speed. At idol it runs rough ,coughs spits a little out of the low speed idle, Carbs have been cleaned. Any suggestions greatly. Thanks guys
so i got another stator and still no fire. I have a good battery, and spinning over with plugs out fast, no fire at all. any ideas suggestions greatly appreciated. thanks guys
I just got this on a boat I purchased, does not work. I opened it up and found shorted wires. there is a relay and a electric board that looks fine. I do not know what brand this motor is.Any ideas or suggestion greatly appreciated. thanks
The spark on the plugs I can hardly see tiny. battery , starter working fine. I am spinning with the plugs out. Plenty fast to start. any advice to what to try? thanks
It has been running ok, put it in the water no spark at all. I disconnected kill wires. no good.should the coils have fire when the ignition is on? Any ideas or suggestion greatly appreciated. How to trouble shoot?? Thanks guys
1995 40hp 4cyl mercury running rough bottom carb is blowing out while motor is running I can cover carb with my hand and makes no difference in running. would it be compression blowing out? any suggestion or idea greatly appreciated. thanks
1995 mercury 40hp The tilt activated itself while sitting out in my yard motor went up and pump kept running til the battery died. I have disconnected the wires at the engine. If I reconnect them pump runs tilts up. I have never even heard of something like this. I purchased a new trim harness...
I am in a mess , I need a carb screw. Its not being produced and nobody has it. I have contacted every mercury marine dealer I can find. OUT OF STOCK . part #1395-9652 or 9652 If anybody could advise where I might check thanks guys
Hey guys, I am still working on this motor, fuel problem solved. Now I have no fire at all. I do not know anything about the electrical system. What do I check.next? So far I only checked the plugs and no fire thanks guys help appreciated
I just purchased this motor, the first mercury for me and I have no idea where to start. It will start and hit a couple of times then go dead. so it runs a second and goes dead immediately. Any ideas or suggestion greatly appreciated. Thanks guys
