My 3 strand, twisted nylon is probably close to that. Stays in the anchor locker unless deployed, which is rare.

DeWalt corded drill DW106 Type-2 keyless chuck, bits slipping out?

Specs on your cordless? Have not been able to find anything close to the capabilities of my hole shooter in cordless. Hole Shooter is 400W, variable speed, 0-1000 rpm, reversible

    Been a little cold.

Well, I spoke a bit too early. The back of the property is a war zone. Spent the better part of yesterday clearing the road to the back and cutting trees off the fence lines. Hours and hours of clean up ahead NWS tracked the storm passing right over us. Confirmed a F1 tornado touched down two...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

The 5.2 towed the 19’ well. First trip with the boat was up to Sodus Pt. NY and back. Wife loved the Jeep, but the suspension and short wheel base really struggled with a 20’ walk-around I bought a couple of years later.

I have two seafood houses with a 10 minute drive of the house. Unfortunately, between the areas wealth and tourism, fish, crabs and shell fish are crazy priced. Need to drive 40 minutes or so down to the fish houses (wholesalers) for decent prices.

DeWalt corded drill DW106 Type-2 keyless chuck, bits slipping out?

If that works you found the problem… a good quality chuck is harder than a file. Since you’re down under, look into Accuratecut chucks. Good quality, made in Tiawan

DeWalt corded drill DW106 Type-2 keyless chuck, bits slipping out?

You can get a good, medium duty Jacob’s for $50. Cost less than a new drill after I throw the drill out of frustration…lol

DeWalt corded drill DW106 Type-2 keyless chuck, bits slipping out?

Have two…absolute junk chucks Looked into a decent Jacobs chuck but never followed up. Much easier to just grab the Milwaukee hole shooter out of the drawer if I need something capable.

Didn’t know they made the Grand with the 4.0 in 1998 Had a 1990 Wagoner with a 4.0 that struggled with pulling the boat (19’). Traded that in for a new 1997 Grand with the 5.2.

    Been a little cold.

84 yesterday.....nasty, nasty storm came through (tornado warning) right before dark. Lost 4 huge oak trees on our property. A big pine came down on the street in the neighborhood. Main Road was closed with downed trees and power lines until early this morning. It was 62 degrees when I let the...

    Stator issue ( I believe )

Normally the color of the lead would simply reverse the polarity, -60V instead of +60 volts In this case, polarity matters since your only rectifying half the wave cycle to test. Keep black lead on red

    Stator issue ( I believe )

Stator output is AC. A diode in the dva circuit rectifies to DC before charging the capacitor (recording) for peak voltage reading

    Stator issue ( I believe )

B Black is universal color for ground unless it isn’t. A schematic of the circuit will confirm either way.

    Check/Fix/Replace Starter Motor 1996 50hp

Bench testing starter performance is useless as a diagnostic tool. Once the windings are proven to be good (growler) the unit must be load (amp) tested to determine condition You either have a bad starter, battery and or battery cable Have you load tested the battery? “New” means nothing...
