    the procedure to drop the GC on older CD will show you the area of concern. not a big deal to lift the PH but if you damage the base gasket a new one ...and the correct one will be needed ( patterns differ!!)

    I just cut myself a few a few weeks ago 3/16 brass rod 1.380 inch long for a refurbed 6Rxx so if your spare Fabril 2-16-17 are that size they will fit.

    at a bare minimum pull the cyl head for a peek on that stuck engine. . I have unstucked a 9.5 with simple & firm hammer wacks and wood peg with patience and wd 40 . Took 4-5 days for wd 40 to soak in and free it up but has run great ever since. motor was $50 CDN drop the GC cases...
