    Don't know which 80hp motor you have, happen to have a serial number? If the rams are part of the OB then there should be no need to take it apart, just lift the motor as one unit and install on other. This is one 80hp trim system

    Note it's best to do this but Merc never did, not even in the Merc manuals. The motor comes with two 11 psi valves and there must be more then a 11 psi differential for it to bypass

    Would need the manufacture of the gauge That said, a auto/marine Tach doesn't use a sender, they all use the signal coming from the coil (gray wire)
