Bravo 3 passed pressure test but fails vaccum

B3 drives have seal issues due to the types of seals. Did you install the one piece double seal or 2 individual ones? Squirt some oil on the seals and rotate a couple times to see if vac seals better.

    Broken gear lube fitting

It's going to be a pain. In most cases there is not much chance in getting it done other then removing the motor and drive bell housing

    Serial number help

FT my thoughts are, not knowing the first 2 digits may not be an issue because we know the last 6. Reason being, looking at only B2 drives and 834565 it only leaves 0F730000 through 0M10000 to be even be able to get to the numbers https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bravo-two-1

    Terribly stoopid question

I just found a easy way to tell if it's LH or RH. According to Melling (oil pump manufacturer). So the Dizzy gear and Cam gear must mesh so there is a downward pressure placed on the Dizzy gear to keep it held down. So look down thru the intake hole where the Dizzy goes and is the cam shaft...

    Terribly stoopid question

Lets think about this a bit more Start a standard rotation motor in reverse, or a reverse rotation motor standard???? That's really what were talking about, because we don't know which is which, and I wouldn't try that Something I just don't understand, is why motors were rebuilt and one...

Shifter "bind/click" when shifting into reverse on 2007 B3

I think it's just age and that throttling in reverse is not done very often, so it's a bit tighter (less play)

    Engine over heats

Maybe, but a PS cooler has larger openings then a oil cooler, but something may have gotten in there which caused the restriction. If it did restrict water for even a few seconds the raw water pump impeller could be burnt and no longer pump

    Terribly stoopid question

Special Note Number 1 can be anywhere on the distributor Bring up number 1 cylinder to TDC and where ever the rotor points is No 1 position. If someone wants it to be somewhere else, all they do is pick the dizzy up, rotate a bit, and sit back down. The key is the firing order

Cold engine despite running for a while. Water entering bilge

This is your cooling system Has a 4 port thermostat housing Note how the thermostat and pieces are installed. If done incorrectly it could be bypassing. That said since it only leaks when in the water, it's most likely a transom issue. Could be soft or something not installed correctly

    Engine over heats

Then there is a air leak between drive and pump. Meaning the new impeller in the pump may have burned because it took to long to get water to it

    Engine over heats

Then your sea pump is the problem. The pump should be pumping at idle

    Engine over heats

Get a short piece of clear hose from the hardware store, along with a double barbed fitting and hose clamps. Place the clear hose at the thermostat housing and hose coming from pump. See if you see bubbles
