What is the year, make, and model of this boat?!

Kinda has the lines of an older Striper boat...like let's say late 80's to mid 90's. Someone went through some trouble to remove the HIN. I'd proceed with caution until ownership is clearly in your name. Any ghosting on either side of the hull that might give you a clue as to the previous...

Ski Brendella is it worth it?

They say there's a butt for every seat. What that butt is willing to pay to own said seat is a different animal altogether.

    More testing on Sharrow prop...

You're still missing the point. How much gas do you have to buy in order to see any actual savings with your Sharrow purchase? Again, that price point, I will NEVER recoup that in my boat's lifetime. Let me repeat that...I will NEVER EVER see any savings using that prop. Why? The initial...

    More testing on Sharrow prop...

But to experience the cost savings in my lifetime - not gonna happen. $4300 difference - buys a heck of a lot of fill ups. The benefit just isn't there. Drop it in to the $1k range and its more in line with what someone asking for fuel savings would be willing to pay. And in all honesty...I...

    More testing on Sharrow prop...

That's the only one you can buy on their online store right now. In comparison, the Solas SS for my boat, most expensive on Iboats, is $661.

    More testing on Sharrow prop...

But here's the thing....That prop is $4900 for (1). How much time do you need to spend on the water to recoup the potential "savings" from their touted fuel efficiency? In my personal case, the boat will be long gone before I even start making money back on fuel savings. It's just not a wise...

    1989 fiber king bomber scout

Given the age of the boat, there's every chance that the structure is wood - stringers and transom. Some manufacturers started changing over to composite/no-wood construction around 2000 or so. You'd have to check the literature for the manufacturer in question to determine when they stopped...

Four Winns 2000 Horizon new Owner

Mine was an '05 200Le. It's in my sig... Pros...Volvo engine was a joy to run. Smooth as could be. Cons....finding a Volvo dealer in my neck of the woods is now like finding a needle in a haystack. Be prepared to pay out the nose for parts...like 2-3x that of a comparable Merc part. I still...

Evinrude 115Hp V4 Project Rebuild / Repowering a Fourwinns Fling Turbo jet boat

**Disclaimer: I have not dealt with nor have any ties to the following** https://www.laniermarine.com/ Might check with them as they *seem* to be a rather large salvage shop with all sorts of oddball stuff. Very possible they *may* have something.

    Sharkhide retailer in Canada?

I checked and iboats doesn't carry it. WallyWorld can get it shipped to a store...in NY. I think, and could be wrong, that the border is somewhat open now - might look into that. If so, I'd ship to store in Buffalo, cross the Peace Bridge and take it back. Probably an hour or so of driving if...

    Need a Winter Project.

Too cold in my garage to work on my baby - 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Y88 (Gold Special Edition). 455 bored 60 over with TH350 tranny. Almost every option checked - cruise, AC, etc... I have the numbers matching 400 stashed away for safe keeping. Going to be working on our Lionel layout in the...

    Christmas lights!

Mine went up the day after Halloween...and were lit. I have young kids who still believe in Santa so we celebrate. Not Griswold celebrate but our house is lit. Outside tree still needs to go up on the porch and get decorated. Waiting on some warm, non-windy weather for that.

    4 hours of Bottom Time!

When it's warmer, much warmer, come on up to St Lawrence River. There's a bunch of wrecks you can dive between Clayton and Alex Bay (probably more but that's the area I'm familiar with). They're well marked on nav maps and you frequently see people diving on them. One's right across from Singer...

Anyone use a 2017 kia Sorrento AWD/4wd high output engine?

The OP hasn't been back since the thread was started over a month ago. The OP never came back to confirm that the vehicle was properly equipped to tow the load in question. Towing above your tow rating isn't recommended. It's not a matter of if, more a matter of when something will break. It...

Alpha Gen 2 Trim Bushings are outrageous!

Just putting this out there... If you see them cheaper all the time elsewhere, then by all means take one of your parts to that store and match it. Whether it lasts as long as a Merc part is anyone's guess. In the grand scheme of things, the OEM parts are less than a tank of gas for my boat...

1996 Century Boats 1800 Center Console Refit and Modernization

I can't comment on the product used here, which looks pretty darn good for the price btw, but with Seadek, its darn cool in the direct sun. As for over non-skid, again with Seadek, it was all in the prep. I haven't had a section peel up yet.

    Towing Boat In Cold Temperature

Don't be worried. I towed my Chap in the middle of a blinding snow storm because the winter cover had collapsed (I used a Harbor Freight blue tarp and the support structure failed). Had to tow it to my house to clean it out and re-cover. Trailer was covered in an inch of ice easily. All fell...

    Newbie looking for advice

Since you're not mechanically inclined that sorta leads to this question.... what marinas are in your area to service the motor and drive? In my neck of the woods, Volvo dealers are drying up. Where I vacation, they are non-existent. Merc dealers on the other hand are very easy to locate. I've...
