    You could try the off-brand items . . . Hard to say if there will be a quality difference . . . it might actually be the same part in different packaging. The Merc branded pump is about $780 and the aftermarket branded pump on Amazon is about $400 for the set - sea water & fuel pump.

    If the engine is fuel injected, then the ECM data can be viewed. If it is carburated, then you are OOL.

    Both manifolds and risers can get clogged up, so they both need to be checked - fixed - replaced.

    I/O engines seem to be worth less and less as time goes on since the trend is towards outboards. You could try selling it as a complete engine, but as mentioned it might be worth more as parted out.

    Nice work . . . it happens. You'l want to grind a bit away around the cut and patch it on both sides. Fill the actual cut with peanut butter mix.
