Could a 4 blade actually be faster?

No getting around the physics of an extra blade. More surface = more friction Ran a 4 blade for years. Switched to a Enertia prop 2 years ago. Hole shot, fuel economy and top speed all improved going to the 3 blade.

Big twin 40hp shear pin material?

Submersion in water isn’t going to change the color of Stainless. Long term exposure to heat and “work” will change the color. Post a picture. Pretty easy to tell if you know what to look for

    VRO Ticking? w/ video

I suspect both problems are related. I can't pump my oil bulb at all and never have been able to. I wouldn't expect to given it's dead ended at the pump. No where to pump oil too...... Smoke wise, I get a bit when first started. Smoke pretty much goes way once motor comes up to temp

“Their immense bulk makes right whales significantly heavier than other whales of similar or greater length such as the humpback, gray, sperm and even fin whales. In fact, right whales rank only behind the blue whale in sheer body mass.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_whale

    Where to mount my transducer?

No… the tip of the blade. Assuming your running a 13-14” diameter prop….14/2= 7 +16” = 23” from centerline of boat If you can’t do that, mount it at a location where you can and live with the results. If your not far enough away one side of side scan will have issues. Expect to make many...

Does ACR exist to charge start battery bank only if the volts drop below 12.45?

and never will. What your saying makes no sense given how an automotive/marine charging systems works. See image below The voltage regulator regulates the voltage coming from the charging system. The ACR simply distributes the charge between the two batteries The only way you can over...

    Where to mount my transducer?

Take 1/2 the diameter of your prop and add 15”+ 1” . This is the distance from the center line of the boat to the center line of the transducer. Old paint, as well as anything else on the bottom, creates turbulence as the water flows over the bottom of the boat. That turbulence will interfere...
