    Mostly you’ll get a little water coming in. Hold the intake hose up high and it may not. All depends on what boat you have. See where the pump sits in relation to the water level outside your hull.

    You’ll definitely have a few drain plugs for sure. But anyway…are we sure the impeller hasn’t suffered again and the flappers aren’t missing down the exhaust?     You should have a strainer that is higher than the water level outside anyway…I’d think. I did a pump on a shaft drive 350 recently.     Not sure around the wording here. Are you saying it performs perfect or asking how to stop the torque steer at some planing speeds ? I had a similar issue with a 16ft and a merc 90. I adjusted the trim fin a little and it helped. But the engine was also a little too low on the transom too...

    Agree with an above comment. If you are trying to fine tune, get a VesselView mobile to see the exact rpms. Gauges aren’t accurate. Are you trimming up ? Your speed isn’t too bad at all.

    Depends what you have now and what 4 blade. I know that some 4 blade ally props will defo see more rpm than some good 3 blade of the same pitch. Going ally to ally…not quite sure…but I know it will be terrible at anything past cruising speed. Just lose efficiency and pace thereafter

    Hi. Is it a CT model ? A few of us with these engines have had issues with the terrible plastic exhaust bore sleeve ring behind the prop. Wee white plastic ring. It comes lose and causes the prop to vent. Really good chance it’s that. I had to stick mine in place. Doing exactly what you are finding.
