    There should not be any flames coming from the crankcase !-----A loose flywheel magnet is indeed a problem.----Pull the flywheel with a puller using 3 bolts.

    You have to take the flywheel of to find the distributor cap.----Work carefully as parts may be expensive.

    Test run with another tank ?----With compression numbers like that on my gauges , your motor would be coming apart !---Perhaps remove the bypass cover on the 95 PSI cylinder to look at piston and rings.

    Take starter apart for inspection , cleaning and ohm test.---Possibly new brushes.-----Charge and load test the battery.-----Now most folks will reply that there is no issue with these things.-----But little to no money spent to check these items !!

    Running with a 3/8" fuel line ?-----The fuel pump runs off crankcase PRESSURE pulses.-----There may be an issue there.-----My opinion is that your compression is not good.----Test with another gauge.

    Mid to high speed miss.

    On a good ignition system the spark can jump a gap of up to 1/2 " ( 12 mm ) so do that test.-----Checked the flywheel key ?

    The amplifier does not put a steady 12 volts to the coil !-----That is NOT the way it works.-----Have you had the flywheel off to set the breaker points at 0.010" ? ----Check the anti-reversing spring ?-----Cleaned the distributor cap and rotor ?
