1980s mercury 115 tower of power issues!

While putting the oil in first is better than pouring it into a filled tank, swaying the trailer really doesn't do anything. If the oil is at the bottom, it will stay at the bottom. Best way is to mix in 6 gallon lots. Put in a gallon or two, add the oil, shake it, add more gas, shake again...

Missing at all rpms? Well Fuel and Spark are the Suspects. Fuel Starvation, but it should run fine at lower Rpms. Internal Breaks in any of the Wires in the Ignition system. That Ignition System uses only 1 Coil under the Flywheel, and a Coil next to each cylinder. The wires from the Armature...

1980s mercury 115 tower of power issues!

Measuring is on thing, mixing is another part that people neglect. They just pour the oil in and think that it magically mixes. It mostly settles at the bottom of the tank. Some stirring/agitation is required, easier to do before all the tank is full. Permanent tanks require a bit more Diligence...

    Prop hitting anode

I am aware of the dual blade design, I wasn't referring to those. They were 4 blades, I was referring to 3 blade Props. You don't need a ton, just a Bead of it laid on the bearing/bearing cap will hold them. And it has to be a grease that Gasoline will wash away.

90HP 2 Stroke Exhaust Port scaling

Grease? The only place a grease would be needed is hold loose Needle and Roller Bearing in place. And only use an Assembly Grease that gas can wash away easily. Otherwise, TCW_3 is all you need when assembling the engine. Make sure the Ring Gap is large enough. Find the Narrowest part of the...

    Prop hitting anode

I remember in 2018, I found a lot of TP props where one of the three was distorted. It was like if Wax had been used in the Production, and had sagged.

The Decal is post 85, could be 86, 87, 88. Serial # would determine which I doubt that pump is USCG Legal. It might produce too much Fuel Pressure and that is Overloading the Floats and Flooding them. Poor location for Pump, places fuel hoses/wires near the Shift and Throttle Linkages...

If you had performed the Link and Sync correctly, the spark will be fully advanced and the Carb fully opened, however they don't move together much. Almost all the Spark Advance will happen before the Carb opens even a bit, then after Full Advance occurs will the Carb open fully. A good Service...
