    when was the last time the crabs have been done? sounds like it is burn ing the fuel in the bowl, and stopping. floats stuck. pumping forces gas into bowls, then not refilling. could be air leak fuel pump. you could disconnect hose from fuel pump to carb and see if you are getting goood...

    starter problem

    oil shaft with light oil, like 3n1, do not soak as it can short out the starter. or use wd 40 to free it up. also check for burrs on the gears.

    don, the link you gave for the manuals didn't work for OD#4112058557 and you gave me engine #4110179640. they also were washing down the boat, didn't pull plug, and bilge did'nt come on i think the soaked the starter. the boats in Daytona and i'm in Jacksonville.
